Looks like the nhs covid vaccination has dropped to 50+

Still says 55 plus but two friends have just done it aged 51. They are always a couple of days late to update the front page. Give it a go if you fit criteria- still not quite at my age range.

@WombatChocolate all my friends have been messaging this morning to say texts been received offering appointments, including myself! I'm 43 no underlying conditions, I'm South West, as far as I know all of our over 70s have had both jabs! I don't know everyone, but everyone I know has been offered today over 40s xx

Husband is in south west and he’s not said anything :(

Ps Bristol and afaik they were dealing with it quickly here

Wishful....well that’s really interesting, given they said anyone outside groups 1-9 shouldn’t be invited until May unless they qualify on health conditions, carers etc.

Have you been invited to book for a local GP led centre (via their local booking site..probably sent you a link) or via the national booking system with a link directly to that website? I’d imagine it’s via GP and to local sites. If so, it shows local areas are still doing different things.

Perhaps they have spare doses which need using up. Are the available appointments all very soon or can you book 2 weeks ahead?

Wombat, yes it was via text from our local gp surgery to go to our local hospital, small town, so perhaps it is a case of leftovers? I haven't booked yet so not sure how far ahead the appointments are. X

Well Wishful, that’s good news for you.
I’d get on and book as soon as poss. Given they have put a stop to over 40s booking until May as national policy, you might find the window is pretty small.
