Still says 55 plus but two friends have just done it aged 51. They are always a couple of days late to update the front page. Give it a go if you fit criteria- still not quite at my age range.

Yes, I agree. I don't know if it's only some areas though where they are ahead. I know many 50-54s getting texts at the moment.

Iknowtheanswer · 16/03/2021 16:11

Yes it has. I have friends who booked this morning.

Delatron · 16/03/2021 16:12

Our area has just announced they’ve finished group 6 and are now doing group 7-9.

FlyingBurrito · 16/03/2021 16:14

It was already 50 in my area, friends of mine have been letting everyone know for a couple of days

TokyoSushi · 16/03/2021 16:15

Yes, 3 friends of mine booked today thanks to MN!

Waxonwaxoff0 · 16/03/2021 16:17

Yes, my colleague and her husband received texts today both age 53.

Pushkinia · 16/03/2021 16:18

Still not available in my area (Northumberland) - I tried 10 minutes ago. I’m 53.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 16/03/2021 16:19

DH got a text today, he's only 45! Through the GP surgery.

Pepper54 · 16/03/2021 16:27

NaturalBlondeYeahRight thank you! I have just booked myself in for next week.

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 16/03/2021 16:28

It's not been publicised but I wouldn't be surprised if, once GPs have finished group 6 they move straight on to group 10 and let the big vaccine centres handle groups 7 to 9.

TheWoollybacksWife · 16/03/2021 16:28

I booked mine about half an hour ago despite it still saying 55 on the front page. I'm early 50's

MargaretThursday · 16/03/2021 16:29

DH has just been called-he's under 50, no health conditions. I did tell him they obviously know he's put on weight during lockdown Grin

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 16/03/2021 16:29

Sounds like group 9 is now able to book though in a couple of weeks we should have done all the first set of priority groups. That's pretty amazing!

Keepyourdistance000 · 16/03/2021 16:30

Down to 40+ here.

CooDeGrass · 16/03/2021 16:43

DH and I are both 49. We thought he might fall into Group 6 but his consultant said not.

He got text from local PCN a couple of weeks ago to book vaccine and has now been done.

Because we thought his invite was on age, not vulnerability, I tried the link (typing it, not using his - it was a generic one without a code or anything) but got a message that I had already booked Confused

I know it’s my fault for jumping the gun, but we genuinely thought it was a case of them having moved into our age group.

Has anyone had a message like that and then received an invite in due course? I’m worried I’ve somehow cocked things up in the system as I’d be expecting to hopefully get a call in the next few weeks now.

EeOopLass · 16/03/2021 16:47

I had the text from GP surgery and I’m 48. I’m currently recovering from Covid so I will have to wait a couple of weeks but I am so relieved that I can have it soon. Having Covid had been awful and I never want to go through it again!

EeOopLass · 16/03/2021 16:48

Yes I think this too
middleager · 16/03/2021 16:52

A family member, 52, booked but I haven't been able to yet (48).

Wotrewelookinat · 16/03/2021 16:53

My area of Suffolk have been doing 50+ for a couple of weeks, husband and I both got a text invite last week. Strangely I know 2 17year olds who have had their’s too and they have no idea why they were invited.

middleager · 16/03/2021 16:56

My children's secondary schools are getting cases again, so it feels a race against the clock now... One child already had Covid in November, so hoping the other won't bring it back before the vaccination.

JustDavesWife · 16/03/2021 17:20

Yes on the NHS website it's over 50's although still says over 55's, my husband is 50 and has just booked his!

minniemoocher · 16/03/2021 17:20

My 45 year old brother get texted today, no health conditions. They are motoring through

KitchenFairy · 16/03/2021 17:22

40+ here, north west, I’m booked in at the weekend.

PawFives · 16/03/2021 17:24

Have the over 50s who booked had a text from their GP? I’m confused about whether it’s worth trying (am 52). Does it matter whether you have a text or letter or just book online without as to where you can get the vaccine?
