I tried this morning and not eligible.

It feels like it has been stuck at 55 for ages!
(It hasn't but it dropped quickly from 65 to 55 so it feels sloooowww!)

55’s only just opened up - Tuesday I think. It was 56 til then.

Still on over 56’s and group 6 vulnerable here in Surrey.

Yes, wasn't being rational! I know it hasn't been long (maybe three days?) but my DH comes into the next bracket so hyper aware it hasn't dropped yet!

(This is not to take away from how amazing the roll out of the vaccine has been which I totally think it has been and is!)

My mum is 54 and has been contacted by doctors surgery to be booked in.

I've tried today and no luck (51)

55's could book from Tuesday of this week, don't expect any further movement until Monday.

DH and I, both 51, had a text today to book and have done so for Sunday. We're in North London.

Husband 51 had text this morning and booked for next week. South West. I haven't tried myself as am just shy of 49!!

As it went from 56 to 55, do you think they’re going down year by year, or will they open it up 50-55 ?

DD and her partner have both booked, DD is 50, but registered at our surgery as my carer, and her partner is 56

I am hoping so. It went 64 to 60 so a big drop would be nice!

I’m sure 40s will be booking by the end of the month.

Seeing as the target was to get to all the over 50s by mid-April, they are doing really well, as actually only group 9 to open up to, if the priority groups now.

And Monday is meant to be the day with the big surge of vaccines, which I guess is why they have opened lots of age groups up over the last week to 10 days...most booking through national site are booking for about 2 weeks in advance.

Those going to GP led services are hearing directly from them, with a text usually to give a link to the local booking system, not the national one.

Most people get done most quickly by using the national system and will only be picked up by GPs if they haven’t booked until 2 weeks after national system invite. However, in areas where GPs have whizzed ahead with their groups (such as Group 6) then some are offering it down the ages too, and some seem to hear first that way.

Seems the vast age demographics differences between areas make a big difference.

DH (53) got a text to say he could book now! My Head at school (50) got a text too! This is E Midlands. Can't believe the momentum

I had a text from my surgery today with a link to book. Appointment next Tuesday 😀. I’m 53.

My SIL’s DP (52) got his in eastern Surrey (Epsom race course I think) over last weekend but I’m 53 in western Surrey and still not yet eligible.

I got a text from my GP on Monday and am booked in for next Monday. I’m 53 and in South London.

Got a text from my GP today with link, I'm 54.
My DP(53) hasn't got the same GP but has got his too, both booked for next week.

I'm 52 and checked online earlier and it said I was't eligble. However less than an hour later I got a call from my doctors surgery and i'm booked in for this Saturday.

I was discussing with my DH whether they're phoning ethnic/mixed race patients to book them as everyone else I know had either a text or a letter?

@Humberbear, the national booking system is open to those aged 55+ at the moment, not yet open to the 50-54 group. Once it’s open to your age group you can book direct, you don’t need an invitation (although the procedure for group 6 is a bit different).

But my surgery is already inviting 50-54 year olds, by text.
