I just went on the NHS site on the off chance and managed to book one for Saturday morning. I’m 50 in the East Midlands

I am 50 and in Mid Essex and was able to book this morning. The first appointment was 2 weeks away though. Still very happy to be booked in!

DH has booked online today and lots of friends. All 52, living in Beds, Herts, Bucks, Essex.

Maybe but as the person above I know quite a few that have got through. What about clearing cache and trying again?

My friend has just tried after being prompted by another thread and it's worked here in Cheshire.

@AwkwardSquad oh no! Yeah totally be patient whilst trying to book every couple of hours until it lets you!
I really hope it works for you soon. You aren't jumping the queue, they said on the news last night over 50's can book (I think! Don't quote me)

It's just a national link , and although it says 55 and over I was able to book in West Yorkshire last night.

Yes in Nottinghamshire. Lots of appointments from tomorrow when I looked at lunchtime.

I’m 53, north east England. Still can’t book through the National programme! It’s so frustrating when the North East was so far ahead at the beginning and now we seem to be slower than everywhere else.

I'd been trying to book for days through the national link and all the appointments were 30 - 50 miles away and days ahead. Frustrating when there's a vaccination centre 2 miles away. Mentioned to a neighbour and her tip was to type in the name of the local centre abd 'swiftqueue'. Up popped a booking linkfor the local centre with lots of appointments in a couple of days. I'm all booked in and confirmed, with reminder texts coming through. Worth a try if you're struggling!

Ok so now the National booking website says 50+, and it STILL won’t let me book! Arrrrgghhhh

@AwkwardSquad are you sure you are putting your details in correctly? Or in the correct format? Or maybe you are younger than you think?!

@TheGoodEnoughWife Details definitely right - I wonder if it’s because it’s GP-led in my town so I have to wait for GP invite?? I’d be fine with that if I knew for certain that was the case, as the GP-led site is easier to get to than the national vaccination centre. It’s not knowing that’s frustrating! But I don’t want to bother my GP about it.
