How/Where do you think you caught it?

Just that really, I've not seen much on this anywhere.

I taught a karate class the week before, probably there.

DS brought it home from a classmate who's mum knew she had it but still sent her and swore the girl to secrecy. When the girl was sent home after NHS informed the school, she went to be babysat at her 80+ year old grandmother's house. The girls mum told granny she was off school with a cold. The gran (my friend) was furious when she found out. There was no reason for the girl to be there either as the mum is a SAHM.

With people as stupid as this, it's little wonder it's not going away as quickly as we need it to.

That's utterly shocking! She should be put in the village stocks and have rotten eggs pelted at her.

I was really unwell with it in November - I'd say I got it from the supermarket, but who knows really. DH was a few days behind me, although I was properly wiped out for 10 days and he just had mild cold symptoms for 24 hrs.

At work, 4 of us got it at the same time, none of us were really sick. It either came from a colleague who's mum works in a care home or one that also works in a supermarket.

Babdoc · 07/03/2021 19:55

I was one of the earliest, got it March last year, hospitalised early April. Ill with long Covid ever since.
I suspect I caught it at the supermarket. There were no screens, masks or sanitiser back then. My checkout lady was red and sweating profusely, and kept complaining about the heat in the store- when it was actually quite chilly. She was speaking to me face to face just inches apart, and obviously handled all my shopping.

Last March - last commute back before I started wfh.

Norugratsatall · 07/03/2021 20:36

London tube (last March). Without a doubt! Never tested so can't be 100%. But I now have Long Covid and DH had confirmed Covid at Xmas and I didn't catch it from him.

WhyIsMyKitchenSoCold · 07/03/2021 20:41

I would guess work given the pattern of people getting sick over a period of a couple of weeks, all with Covid symptoms. But back in March last year, in and around central London, who knows? DD definitely caught it from me, though, as she was already home with an entirely unrelated medical issue when I got it, so five days into isolation there was no question when she got sick.

anamazingfind · 08/03/2021 10:31

Dh caught it at work. NHS and thinks it was from colleagues as 3 also had it. So staff room. A week after the vaccine and he had very minor symptoms. Locked him in the bedroom for 10 days and no one else caught it.

@DavidsSchitt

I suppose it's possible that I had Covid asymptomatically and my March illness was something else. Had two Covid positive antibody tests, one in the early summer, one in the autumn, so I definitely have had it. But one of my close colleagues (we fell ill on the same day) was hospitalised with Covid in March, so all signs point that way.

Petrol pump

DH works in a primary school, he caught it first, I caught it off him at home. DS (15) had it as well, from DH.
