How/Where do you think you caught it?

Just that really, I've not seen much on this anywhere.

The one day that DS went back to nursery after Xmas before lockdown started again. He had no symptoms, I was first to show symptoms and I'd been absolutely nowhere, not even in a shop.

Caught it this time last year.

School - dd's. It was in all the local secondaries.

A bit weird to have caught it via dd because it was all through the (primary) school I was working in - but I'm pretty sure I caught it from dd.

So odd, looking back. It was clearly raging through communities but there we were, trotting off to work, with just hand-sanitiser and a government in total denial.

Seems completely surreal now.

Work right at the beginning, tight employer doesn't pay sick pay so was coughed on by 2 sick colleagues for most of February, as well as the delightful public coming in to tell us they didn't believe in covid and were taking no precautions.

I was not allowed to tell them they were wrong. Last February and March sucked.

Eldest son caught it at work in the police control room...

From DS who had caught it from his nursery.

GPs surgery or my midwife but doubt it was the latter.

Nursing care home twice

DD caught it at work (hospital).
DS caught it off her.

I caught it from DH. He caught it at work (care home). At least we got better, unlike many of the residents.

I really don’t know .. it could have been several . I fell ill March last year . Went to the gp surgery for bloods tests , nurse said her husband currently has symptoms but no testing avail. Art tutor who came in to my teen once a week , his partner worked Cheltenham Gold cup and went down with it . Girl who did my hair extensions developed symptoms a couple of days later .. so I really don’t know but the odds of not getting it certainly weren’t in my favour !

Primary classroom - I'm a TA

Dh got it from his one visit to a pub last year.

My friends mum went into hospital just before Christmas, caught it there and was sent home where she gave it to the rest of her family.

One of us from work (both doctors) I wasn’t able to be vaccinated as breastfeeding, DH too late. Luckily we were all fine but it was a rubbish 3 weeks

I got it mid January, when transmission was at it's highest.
Might have been at work, but I don't think so - I am the only person using a serviced office; there's a shared kitchen area and lift (but not at the same time as anyone else), quiet walk to and from work where I rarely see or pass anyone.
I went big supermarket shopping a few days before - I think that's the most likely culprit.

My fiancé is a nurse, he caught it at work and then gave it to me

From my boyfriend (who is in my bubble), I hadn’t been out for two weeks prior to that as I’d had major surgery was was in effect shielding, he had time off to look after me, and his first week back to work they had a big outbreak. A few people went off with symptoms on the Friday, and by Monday several people turned in for work, had their temperatures checked and got turned away again due to high fevers, my boyfriend included. By the following Friday I’d developed an upset stomach, and on the Saturday morning awoke with a fever of 39.1.

I got it at my workplace - a large secondary school

My teenage dd brought it home from school in the last week before Christmas. I had it over Christmas. Thanks Gavin Williamson.

How did you know it wasn't at your work?

Daughter (2) brought it home from nursery. She had it and so did my partner and me
It was a fun fortnight! 12 staff had it there too.
