Seriously though, I'm feeling optimistic for the first time in almost a year. Cautiously optimistic, but still. After the shitshow of the last 12 months cautiously optimistic feels bloody fantastic. And yes, I've been as weepy as all fuck for the past couple of hours but in a good way. Which makes a change.

Me too! I’ve got 7 more weeks off work sitting on my arse and I’m already the size of a small continent.

And as it looks like weddings can have full number of guests later in the year I’ve got my cousins wedding to look half decent for.

Afraid so vampire. Me too. I've managed with about two a week during lockdown, just putting them on when I venture out shopping.

There are local elections in May, of course the PM wants positivity and for restrictions to be being lifted by then. I hope this time he listens to the scientists who are warning that too fast could result in 30k more deaths. We have the highest death rate per million in the world after all

Only because of the way our deaths are recorded. You know the kind of thing - got run over but tested positive four weeks before = covid death. That kind of thing.

We have mass vaccination now, which we didn't have last A/W. There'll still be infections and sadly deaths but nothing on the scale of last winter.

We are holiday letting our house for summer hols so will definitely be out there!! God, need to lose the tum though, get out of the joggers and stop being alcoholic 😳

I'm nervous, and I'm in Scotland so we're still waiting to find out what happens next here, but with the vaccination roll-out happening so quickly and with everyone getting their first vaccine by the end of July, I'm feeling more positive than I have in a year. Let's hope he's right 🤞

It’s sad that the government took away everything and when they give a tiny little thing back, dangling the carrot on the stick, many are grateful and thank the PM. The gov and media have ruined our MH and lives. I want the gov to say they’ll never have lockdown again and Covid passports will NOT be introduced. Then I will be happy.
