This is the first time I have actually believed it

what a funny way of questioning you have, when you say 'do you think you know better than they do' you sound like a Victorian governess chiding children who dare have an opinion.

Another strange comment - Marsha doesn’t sound like that at all.

MarshaBradyo · 24/02/2021 06:55

Thanks DingDong I thought it strange too but it is early ;

Dongdingdong · 24/02/2021 06:56

Respectfully, I don't want to engage with you because I find your tone a bit odd.

Or do you just not want to answer the question because you don’t have a plan?

@StealthPolarBear

Nightclubs opening! I haven't been in twenty years but I might go this summer.
This has killed me

I did not think so. Then again I'm in Scotland. Where once again toddlers and babies have been for gotten about. If hair dressers and pubs open before they're classes, as previous lockdown. I will be livid.

Prepare to be livid then. The hospitality and beauty industries are a huge part of the economy and need saving. Toddler and baby groups don’t even register, generations of kids managed without them, I’m sure this lot will survive too.

Unpopular opinion- I miss the original lockdown and when all this is over, will look back to those few months in the spring summer when my life was put on pause and I for once in many many years, slowed down, rediscovered my passions, enjoyed the quiet roads and skies and parks- no traffic, a sense of unison between us all and appreciating the teeny things on a daily basis. I was given a chance recalibrate my life.

I am huge introvert and have learned how much so during lockdown.

I wish the cases to plummet, the covid deaths to plummet, but will long for quiet and calm.

Hope you all have a lovely day today :)

YukoandHiro · 24/02/2021 12:38

@piddocktrumperiness Can't you use that experience to make the necessary changes in your life to live in a way that makes you happier? You don't have to go headlong back into the maelstrom if that makes you miserable.

HarriR · 24/02/2021 13:04

@VinylDetective they had regular interaction with other children, playing outside round at people's houses. We try to take ours to the park its the only time he gets to interact with other kids.

Shell4429 · 24/02/2021 13:09

I hope it is. I am sceptical because the last time children went back to school it caused or at least contributed to a second wave. So I won’t be convinced until a few weeks after that.

JonSnowIsALoser · 24/02/2021 18:28

Unless there's another wave caused by schools reopening and teachers not having been given vaccine priority. And unless a vaccine-resistant Covid variety emerges, for which a partly-vaccinated population is a perfect breeding ground. These are massive ifs. Viruses rarely play along with governments' wishes.

So not getting my hopes up and certainly not crying with relief. Better be pleasantly surprised when this does work out than being crushed and desperately trying yo get holiday refunds if it doesn't.
