Hope no-one minds me starting this. Apologies if another has started too. Please can someone add the pretty pictures.

NB Please don’t take this too seriously- it depends what vaccine delivery speed and uptake you estimate so it’s not written in stone.

Please note, this is a thread to share good news and for wobblers to be reassured. Doomploppers will be met with scorn and derision!

How is it we could have more 75-79 year olds than we knew about? Grin

InterfectoremVulpes · 04/03/2021 15:48

Dunno what you're talking about 🥸

Apparently the number of people in that age group was previously estimated Grin

Germany now approving AZ for all age groups and changing policy to 12 week gapGrin

FourTeaFallOut · 04/03/2021 15:57
Grin

Last day of homeschooling here too, bar a couple of 'back to school' assemblies tomorrow. It has been the hardest week so far in this house so it couldn't come soon enough for us.

FourTeaFallOut · 04/03/2021 15:58

Ooh, 12 week gap, that sounds like a good idea.

I know why didn't we think of it. I hope they don't get flack for such a bold idea.
MarshaBradyo · 04/03/2021 16:29

Me too and using AZ for over 65...

louisejxxx · 04/03/2021 16:34

🤣🤣🤣

OrangeBananaFish · 04/03/2021 18:11

I might get told off for this, but this seems like good news. I know its all anecdotal, but rumour is that vaccines are going to be going crazy in just over a week.

If anyone is interested in the latest countdown:

8th March - 4 more sleeps
29th March - 25 more sleeps
12th April - 39 more sleeps
17th May - 67 more sleeps
21st June - 109 more sleeps

Cases and deaths still going down (cases at 6573 are slightly higher than yesterday, but down a lot compared to last Thursday which were 9985)

louisejxxx · 04/03/2021 19:29

I had that email too - still no shifts appearing on my app though Sad

tobee · 04/03/2021 20:44

My dc left school a while ago so no homeschooling here. But I'm soooo happy and excited that they're going back! Last summer I picked up food packages from relatives and when I drove by the school kids back at bus stops etc, just being totally nonchalant and norma, it made smile so much. Really looking forward to seeing kids being kids again! Smile

InterfectoremVulpes · 04/03/2021 20:45

It was literally blink and they're gone!

tobee · 04/03/2021 20:46

*normal not Norma. I don't think that any of them would be likely called Norma. 🤔

I think I’ll pass. Out fourth summer holiday in a row in the U.K. is much more tempting
Autumn101 · 05/03/2021 07:43

Morning everyone, sun’s shining here and it’s the LAST day of home schooling!!! My DC have been great but being together 24/7 is wearing thin now 😂 they can’t wait to see their friends and I can’t wait to sit in silence with a cup of tea and the cat............

FuzzyPuffling · 05/03/2021 07:47

My DD is a secondary school teacher and I don't want her to go back to school with all those germy, non compliant teenagers. I want her to be able to stay safe and protected and not be thrown to the covid lions. She's in an area of quite high infection rates, and has no vaccine in sight yet.
In your cheering for the end of home schooling, please spare a thought for those who hold a different view.

FourTeaFallOut · 05/03/2021 07:55

My children are neither germy nor incompliant.

MarshaBradyo · 05/03/2021 07:56

No not here either. Very compliant and no germs.
