Would you go on holiday in the UK if allowed in April?

Just that, really. If self catering holidays in the UK are allowed to go ahead in April, and you had one booked, would you go?

Yes.

We have the Easter week booked in a hoilday apartment - two households, five people who were booked in to meet up for Christmas but our booking was transferred.

If it is allowed to happen, we will do what we did for Christmas(until Boris cancelled it) and isolate in advance.

It was looking very unlikely we would be able to meet up, but today there does seem a glimmer of hope.

Quartz2208 · 15/02/2021 17:18

Yes - it was originally booked in January 2020 for May 2020 and then I moved it to October half term and then panicked and moved it to Easter. We have a deposit in it and I really want to go.

It is a self catering apartment in Devon so if they clear self catering staycations at that point I will go. And if not get my deposit back

We've got one booked that was booked last year, if we can go we will. Only problem is it's me and DS with my parents as dh can't go away in April so we may have to cancel if households can't mix indoors.

Pootle40 · 15/02/2021 17:18

Yes and abroad if I could

EnglishRain · 15/02/2021 17:21

No. I love being at home, I don't want to go somewhere else. I'm looking forward to trips out though, to the beach and national trust places etc.

copernicium · 15/02/2021 17:56

I rescheduled last years Easter trip to this year, back when the promise was that this would be over by the summer 🙄

Please be allowed!

BeautifulStar · 15/02/2021 17:57

Yes I would - I’m going to book a mini break at Easter if we’re allowed.

SpringisSpinning · 15/02/2021 18:01

Yes, straight after any lock down is the safest time to go

bluewanda · 15/02/2021 18:02

Absolutely yes! I mean, why wouldn’t you? Confused

LucilleTheVampireBat · 15/02/2021 18:03

Yep, as per PP, I'd go tomorrow.

bluewanda · 15/02/2021 18:03

No. I love being at home

So do I, but I’ve been at home almost 24/7 for the last year!

Fiddlestix2021 · 15/02/2021 18:04

No. Not interested in going anywhere on holiday til next year

Baileysforchristmas · 15/02/2021 18:05

Yes a 100% I would go tomorrow if I could

Amiable · 15/02/2021 18:06

We have a cottage booked for a week over Easter - it got postponed from last year, and if we can, we are definitely going!

MagicSummer · 15/02/2021 18:06

Sorry but no - I have no wish whatsoever to go on holiday in the UK. May as well stay at home, but I live 5 minutes from the beach anyway.

Chewingle · 15/02/2021 18:06

Hell. Yes.

Fingers crossed for may as that is when I have booked!

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 15/02/2021 18:07

No, with masks and lots still unvaccinated it wouldnt feel like a break. Just somewhere else to cook and keep distance from others. A holiday for me is seeing new places, no cooking or cleaning and lots of shopping so I’ll wait until it’s safe to do those things.

tootsytoo · 15/02/2021 18:08

YES!!!! Without a shadow of a doubt!! Lol

Chewingle · 15/02/2021 18:08

And it isn’t Uk I have booked

I’ve gone all singing and dancing, top end guaranteed sun - 2021 holiday is going to be phenomenal

BamboozledandBefuddled · 15/02/2021 18:08

As self-catering is looking like the the only option, then no. It isn't my idea of a holiday.

MrBullinaChinaShop · 15/02/2021 18:11

Well if ours goes ahead I won’t be doing any cooking. A private tub, different walks, a beach and takeaways every night will feel like a holiday to me after the past 6 weeks of working full time, home schooling 2 primary aged children and looking after a toddler full time on top.
usernotfound0000 · 15/02/2021 18:13

Yep. I'm booking a few nights at Easter (free cancellation) and am feeling optimistic at the moment.

Suzi888 · 15/02/2021 18:17

Let me just pack! Absolutely!

strawberriesatmypicnic · 15/02/2021 18:18

I would love a summer holiday in the Uk.

ChocOrange1 · 15/02/2021 18:19

100% I would definitely go
