Would you go on holiday in the UK if allowed in April?

Just that, really. If self catering holidays in the UK are allowed to go ahead in April, and you had one booked, would you go?

Yes, definitely. I’m totally fed up of looking at the same 4 walls, plus my mum lives 300 miles away and I’d love to see her.

Zogstart · 15/02/2021 16:49

Yes yes a thousand times yes. I’m hoping hotels open and have some sort of takeaway and eat breakfast in your room option. Self catering holiday let most definitely. We’re all desperate for a change of scenery.

MrBullinaChinaShop · 15/02/2021 16:50

Yes. I’d go tomorrow if I could.
I’m so bored of these fucking 4 walls.

Moondust001 · 15/02/2021 16:50

If I am allowed to travel, I will go as fast and as fast as I can! Preferably outside the UK

christmasathomeagain · 15/02/2021 16:51

We are hoping to be able go camping at Easter 🤞

SpencerGregson · 15/02/2021 16:53

Yes, but only so we can see my parents. Only saw them once last year and didn't stay with them, so would do the same this time so we could see them outdoors, if permitted. They live a 6-hour drive away so we could only do so if we could stay nearby.

notacooldad · 15/02/2021 16:55

I'd be off like a shot.
Only trouble is so would my colleagues. It would be a mad fight for the annual leave book!

PicsInRed · 15/02/2021 16:55

I'd go to Europe, NZ and the moon if I could.

I've done my time.

CarlaH · 15/02/2021 16:56

Yes definitely.

SingANewSongChickenTikka · 15/02/2021 17:00

No, but only because our business relies of hospitality and tourism so I’d hope that people would and we could finally do some trade!

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 15/02/2021 17:00

Yes, we have a weekend in the country booked forApril, it's re-bookable and refundable but if we can go we will.

AlwaysLatte · 15/02/2021 17:01

Not April but we're in the process of booking a cottage in August.

Shelovesamystery · 15/02/2021 17:03

Yes definitely. I've got my eye on a couple of short breaks for the Easter holidays and I'm tempted to just book one as they have a coronavirus garuntee anyway. As soon as the government open things I will be first in the queue for everything 😂. Restaurants, gym, theme parks etc. I can't wait!

garlictwist · 15/02/2021 17:04

We've got a cottage in Skye booked for March that was moved from November. The guy wouldn't allow us a refund and March was the only dates we could afford as after that the prices shoot up.

I don't think we are going to be allowed to go but the guy put up a huge fuss when we cancelled before and said we should just come anyway so I'm not hopeful we will get our money back.

It makes me feel like going anyway but I won't.

yearinyearout · 15/02/2021 17:06

Yep, I have one booked (last week of April) and fully intend to go if it's not on the forbidden list.

Itsokthanks · 15/02/2021 17:07

Yes

Rockbird · 15/02/2021 17:08

Absolutely yes. We have Cornwall booked for the Easter holidays. It's been moved three times already and we fully intend to go if allowed. DH will be fully vaccinated, I should hopefully have had my first, I can't see any reason why we wouldn't go.

Coasterfan · 15/02/2021 17:08

We have wales booked for Easter I will certainly be going if we are allowed.

Nettleskeins · 15/02/2021 17:09

Yes.
Not a holiday holiday but just to be near family and see them distanced, sort of short break. And a change of scene.

InterfectoremVulpes · 15/02/2021 17:11

Booked first week of Easter so still in March. If we can go we will go.

stclair · 15/02/2021 17:13

I’ve booked a week for third week of April. Concerned that even if we are out of lockdown there will be tiers etc so that will be the end of that.

NoGoodPunsLeft · 15/02/2021 17:14

No but only because we've decided to split the school holidays a week each to take the pressure off WFH with DD at home.

We'd consider going somewhere Easter weekend though if we could

Aquagirl19 · 15/02/2021 17:16

Definitely yes! We have a cottage holiday booked that was carried over from last year and we are desperate to go although I don't think we will actually be allowed to.

Beaniecats · 15/02/2021 17:17

Yes

Alfaix · 15/02/2021 17:17

Ours is SC with just our own household. It will be different NT places (outside) and seaside walks plus lounging in private hot tub and having takeaways, just a change of scenery.
I had first dose of vaccine early January and DH had his this weekend. DS8 obviously won’t have had it but I think he’s at greater risk at school.
It would be so great to have a break!
