Clinically vulnerable- when to expect invitation for vaccine

Hi,

I have a leaky heart valve and recess free flu jab each year. Pretty sure I’m in JCVI group 6 and so wondering if others in this group have been called up yet?

We have only just commenced vaccination appointments for priority groups 5 and 6. At this time, you will not be able to book by individually accessing the website, rather you will need to be invited for an appointment. The timings of appointments will vary due to vaccine supply, vaccination site staffing and the demographic of your area.

That's part of the reply I got so it looks like group 6 are starting to be done. Fingers crossed!

Had a nurse appointment today and confirmed I'm definitely flagged on their system - yeah! Just that little reassurance is good.

We have a large older demographic though so they're only just moving into group 5.

I have had my name added to a short 'happy to be called at no notice, any day/time' list, though they'll call group 5 on their last minute list first.

Update! Got a text from gp this morning, just been and had my vaccination!! I live just over the road from a main vaccine hub for our area, so was very straightforward. I’m so pleased 😊

Update! Got a text from gp this morning, just been and had my vaccination!! I live just over the road from a main vaccine hub for our area, so was very straightforward. I’m so pleased 😊

I don’t think our local area has started group six yet, but as advised further up the thread I have pinged my surgery a message letting them know what I think my BMI is (it’s between 40.6 and 41 depending on which calculator I used). Fingers crossed.

Just had a text through - I am booked for Monday - so happy! I can’t believe people don’t want the vaccine....

DH, type 2 diabetic, just got invite for Friday.

I've been bumped up and, after being told yesterday it might be a few weeks yet, I have an appointment for my first vaccine next week!

When they called me I was surprised at how excited I felt!

Just got an email saying I've been added to the ECV/shielding list thanks to the new analysis of patient data… but the online booking system that's supposed to work for ECVs won't accept me :-/ Anyone else recently been told to shield and tried the website booking link?

I've just had the email too but the GP text got to me first and so I booked there. Hold out for a bit Crayon, your invitation is on its way if you've had the email.
