5 million would be about 714k a day. I am thinking an average of 600k a day would probably be our limit.

louisejxxx · 05/02/2021 14:38

@HalfDutchGirl I think they’re probably more likely to be clinically extremely vulnerable (group 4) than group 6 - that can be any adult age as well I believe.

carolinesbaby · 05/02/2021 14:41

I know of at least one person in group 6 who has been vaccinated, in a county which is significantly behind many others. This person is 21 and severely asthmatic. Even here we are getting through the groups fast.

Jenasaurus · 05/02/2021 14:43

According to the live vaccination app for the UK we have already vaccinated 17% of the UK over 11 million so far

Mindymomo · 05/02/2021 14:50

That covid vaccination app is something, can’t help watching the counter going UP, UP, UP.

TeaInTheGarden · 05/02/2021 14:52

Looks like we’ve beaten the numbers reports this time last week. The increases are impressive. If we have another good (or even better?!) weekend we could see 12 million reported by Sunday....

MadisonAvenue · 05/02/2021 14:52

@TeaInTheGarden

There is now evidence that the Oxford vaccine works just as well on uk variant as it does on original virus. Happy Friday!
Fabulous! That’s the one that me and my son are getting tomorrow 👍🏻

My son is 20 and in group 4.

Londoners over 70 can now book their vaccination without a letter;

www.nhs.uk/book-a-coronavirus-vaccination/do-you-have-an-nhs-number

Pass it onto anyone you know so they get their vaccination. Great news.

One of our local hospitals has tweeted that there’s no need to book for their vaccine hub now if you’re over 70 or CEV. They’re doing walk ins between 8am and 8pm, you just need to take your NHS number or your shielding letter.
(However, it’s in WS2 - announced this week as one of the postcodes of doom).

Glad Gorgeous George is doing better today!

tootyfruitypickle · 05/02/2021 15:00

Website still says you need a letter !

Brilliant news 😃🙏🏼

I looked through that the other day, before my GP surgery booked me in, and if a letter has been generated then you can click through after entering your NHS number and book an appointment. I could do it last weekend so a letter has obviously been generated but I’ve not received it yet.

"GPs told to get six doses out of all Pfizer vaccine vials - Pulse Today" www.pulsetoday.co.uk/news/clinical-areas/immunology-and-vaccines/gps-told-to-get-six-doses-out-of-all-pfizer-vaccine-vials/

Apparently they can get six doses out of a Pfizer vial. The Pfizer vial is going to be the next MN chicken.

FourTeaFallOut · 05/02/2021 15:36

As standard practice...
I know that it's been talked about it long before now but now it's expected.

AfterEightAnyTime · 05/02/2021 15:36

@TeaInTheGarden, is that the mutated UK variant or the original UK variant?

FourTeaFallOut · 05/02/2021 15:37

Although this nurse can get seven

Oh, be careful with the chicken comparisons. Did you see the poster today get her arse handed to her after confessing that she only eats the breasts on a roast chicken and throws away the rest?
FourTeaFallOut · 05/02/2021 15:56

No 😂 but I can imagine.

TeaInTheGarden · 05/02/2021 16:07

@AfterEightAnyTime I assume the original one as the new one only just appeared. Could be wrong though.

TeaInTheGarden · 05/02/2021 16:08

Cases today 19,114. They were 29k last Friday- huge drop!

TeaInTheGarden · 05/02/2021 16:10

Vaccine stats:
+484,596 doses in the latest 24hr period.

10,971,047 people have received their first dose. (That would round nicely to 11 million, right?!)

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 05/02/2021 16:11

10k case drop in a week!
Wonderful news

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 05/02/2021 16:13

Lovely vaccine numbers Star

Surely that chicken would have fed a family of 6 for a fortnight Grin

FourTeaFallOut · 05/02/2021 16:20

Rolling average rises to 443943.
