Is BoJo expected to make an official announcement today or is it just speculation?

If Scotland's gone full national lockdown, then England will follow. Maybe in a few days, maybe next week, who knows. But they'll follow.

I'm working overseas. Which is fine. Perfectly happy to postpone U.K. visiting. Safer here, definitely.

I doubt they will close the borders to British citizens.
They absolutely should stop non-British residents entering without very good reason, IMO

Andrew Pierce (think he's an editor with The Mail or Mail on Sunday) was on GMTV this morning, grinning saying he "thinks" nudge nudge wink wink there will be an announcement by 5 pm. When asked if he had been tipped off just more insane grinning and 5 pm.

I think the real difference is this

The new rules - which will be put down in law - mean Scots will only be allowed to leave home for essential purposes, such as essential shopping, exercise and caring responsibilities.

I expect we will similar in England soon - no longer 'guidance' but 'law', which makes it easier to enforce.

DH has gone back to work today and I'm trying to follow all this, homeschool an autistic 6yo (with the language and understanding of a 2yo) and look after a toddler. My guts are squirming and I keep having to dash to the loo.

I would take any kind of decisive action over the uncertainty we have right now. I'm exhausted but I just need to know what the rest of this week will look like.

SKY has just said BOJO is making an announcement at 8pm but no details possibly tier 3’s going to tier 4, parliament being recalled on Wednesday.

Decisive action over uncertainty is the better option...Boris is playing with people’s mental health.Whoever is advising him is doing a shit job . I cannot imagine how this is for the parents of school age children not knowing how to plan this day,week,month ...an absolutely appalling scenario!
