Still waiting here. Tested at Kettering drive through in East Mids. 47 hours, losing hope it will be today now. Anyone else?

I haven't either. All teaching staff in a London borough had to submit a test by 2pm on 30th but I haven't had a result back yet.

ZigZaggyZoo · 01/01/2021 15:50

I've had a result back from a test yesterday (-ve) It took about 29 hours.

Backbee · 01/01/2021 16:11

Mine was recieved Christmas day and nothing, phoned the helpline and they said its probably fine and will likely come through soon which was really useful.

Colycola · 01/01/2021 16:38

Nope me neither!

EasterIssland · 01/01/2021 16:47

Tested yesterday in Bristol. Over 27h ago. Nothing yet.

Have you called them to check?
TheWoollybacksWife · 01/01/2021 17:42

@joeysapple a relative had a test yesterday (31st) at the Kettering drive through centre and received their results this morning - roughly 24 hours later.

Colycola · 01/01/2021 17:55

Dd had her test Boxing Day got her results 28th.

Cherrypie32 · 01/01/2021 17:59

Tested about 28 hours ago, was told to expect results in 48 hours

PuzzledObserver · 01/01/2021 18:00

I tested yesterday just before 5pm - so 25 hours. No result yet but I’ve now got a temperature and feeling generally crap.

My husband tested on Tuesday morning - at the care home where he works, which apparently is now in outbreak. No result yet.... nor from the previous Tuesday.

If we’ve got it, he got it there would be my guess. His symptoms started 5 days after he was last in work and 2 days before mine.

Discoballs · 01/01/2021 18:03

Took my daughter at 8am on 30th in Manchester and still not had a result

Lifeispassingby · 01/01/2021 18:05

The week before Christmas I waited from Tuesday morning until Friday evening for my results

TimeForLunch · 01/01/2021 18:07

Yes, tested at 12.30 on the 30th in an Essex drive through centre and woke up to the (negative) result this morning.

JustDavesWife · 01/01/2021 18:13

We were tested yesterday in SE London at 2pm and nothing back yet despite the man saying results are coming back quite quickly and most are within 24hrs.

DoctorChoc · 01/01/2021 18:14

Easter- leaflet says you shouldn't ring to check until 5 days after test 😩

We were told If 72h then call them. It’s my son who has some fever yesterday (perfect today) and even if we can wfh around him it’s a pain. He went to nursery this week so If he tested positive they should know ASAP.
Backbee · 01/01/2021 18:23

It's frustrating isn't it. DH was due back at work (he can't WFH) and although my symptoms have now gone we are obviously isolating until the result, if it is negative feels like a waste of time. I know it's only a minor thing in the scheme of things, but if everyone's is late that's a lot of inconvenience!

movingonup20 · 01/01/2021 18:24

They are taking up to 72 hours but not all, partly depends on exactly the time of your test as they are only despatched to the central processing labs every few hours, and some labs are quicker than others. The one exh is working in, well running, is taking around 36-48 hours he claims, that's from arrival there, so allow a further 12-14 hours to get it there. With postal tests add 48 hours transit.

ladygracie · 01/01/2021 18:25

My daughter tested at 8,20am yesterday in Cambridge & got a result this morning. Very late morning. Hope you get a result soon.

And if everyone’s is late then t&t can’t be done. That makes you wonder why this strain is moving so fast if contacts aren’t isolating cuz tests taking so long.

I’ve to say that I logged yesterday to get one for my son and it seem pretty empty. I could have gone straight as they had loads of slots and the place was quite empty comparing to when I had to go last month myself

yuyubooboo · 01/01/2021 18:30

We did a swab yesterday at 10am there and got a positive result this morning at 9am

Cherrypie32 · 01/01/2021 18:35

Could be a silly question but can you get a result email/txt at anytime, day or night?

Colycola · 01/01/2021 18:40

@Cherrypie32 yes DD got hers about 4am.

Really?! It's now been 51 hours here from the same test centre. I wonder what on Earth's gone on. I hope they haven't lost the test 😩
