I’ve called as it’s day 5, but apparently I had to wait five days and call on day 6.

No-my results from the 30th aren't back yet either

90 hours since first test and still waiting. I'm getting really cross now. We get next to no quality time off work together and this week has been fucked. The dog is miserable because he's not getting walked, I'm miserable. Grrrrrrrrrr.

I called today, the lady was lovely! Chased my results up. Said she’s out then as priority but could still be up to 3 days. I finish isolating on Wednesday anyway as my ten days are up 😆😆

Got my results - the lady I spoke to was fantastic.

EasterIssland · 03/01/2021 16:28

We got the results this time quicker than the last time
Tested on Thursday and got it yesteray saying not enough so had to retest
Tested yesterday at 1030 and results today at 1600. As expected negative Smile

Good luck to everyone waiting ! The wait is so draining

I am envious.I’ve now been waiting four and a half days - more than twice as long as the test centre told me I’d have to wait, the lying gits - and everyone I’ve spoken to on the 119 helpline has bleated a variant on, “I’m just telling you what’s written down here!”

Example:

Me: “If the test centre had told me that it would be five days, not probably 24 hours and definitely within 48 hours, I might have put in an online shopping order that day”.

119: “I can’t be responsible for that”

Me: “I’ve got no fresh food in the house, I can’t go to a shop until I get a negative result and I can’t get an online shopping delivery for days. What do you suggest?”

119 : “I can’t speak as to that”

Me: “Why are the test centres, and your 119 colleagues who I spoke to yesterday and the day before, giving incorrect information about turnaround times?”

119: “I don’t know who you’ve spoken to”

Me: “I’ve just told you who I spoke to. How do I make a formal complaint?”

119: “I don’t really know who to direct you to”.

Etc etc.

Is it any surprise that people break the rules, and either don’t bother getting tested or go out shopping whilst in quarantine? I’m doing the right thing, but why make it so difficult? Why not just, you know, tell the truth so that people can plan?

@Iamthewombat that sounds dreadful. Still nothing here either. Have had to cancel an induction with a new starter at work tomorrow.

Over 4 days here and if they haven't arrived by tomorrow morning I'm going to lose my damn mind.
