Think I have new strain of virus

Has anyone in London/the south east had this new strain of Covid? I think I have it.

Feel very flu-y. Headache, achy muscles, tired, cough, sore throat, chest feels heavy and I'm breathing slowly.

I'm isolating and waiting for home test which I ordered off the gov website yesterday.

It doesn’t have different symptoms. You might have covid, new strain or not, I’m afraid. Or you might not. Good luck. Smile

They have to analyse the samples to find out which strain it is. They can't tell just from symptoms

Sorry you’re feeling so rotten. I’ve had similar symptoms on and off and got tested Thursday. Still waiting for result though.

At this time of year normal bugs circulate too so try not to worry too much.

How could you possibly know?! There’s a chance it is because I think it’s causing something like 60% of cases in London at the moment, but you wouldn’t know from symptoms alone 😆

It’s rubbish ti be ill. But dial down the drama, get some rest and try not to be too shocked if you test negative.
