Ok, that’s encouraging!

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 29/12/2020 15:12

That IS good news! Smile

Pomegranatespompom · 29/12/2020 15:23

That’s excellent news @OrangeBananaFish
I’m scheduled for 4th Jan. I’ll post as soon as I’ve had it. I’ve had a few days off work (nhs) and assume my colleagues have been coping well because I’ve not been called. I’ve been thinking of them lots.

Brighter times for us all very soon.

FuzzyPuffling · 29/12/2020 15:28

I am seriously beginning to wish we were looking at the single dose now, second one in 6 months regime. Does anyone know if we are?

It would have to be reassessed by the MHRA as a change in licence - it can’t just be given differently. I’m not sure what the data look like for this as the trial wasn’t designed to look at a single dose

chri55ie · 29/12/2020 16:38

Anyone follow Coronavirus good news on Twitter? What do u make of that latest tweet?

clarexbp · 29/12/2020 16:47

Worth a try, I suppose chri55ie! Grin

chri55ie · 29/12/2020 16:48

They are normal quite a serious account so am hoping that’s a big hint being dropped!

Brunt0n · 29/12/2020 16:52

I wouldn’t be surprised if that does happen, a shit sandwich

tobee · 29/12/2020 17:02

I don't understand

I know, but worth looking at?

What's the tweet? (I don't do Twitter)

Rumour seems to be that we’ll be delivered a shit sandwich tomorrow with harsher restrictions but the golden goose of the vaccine announced

Agree, I just meant that it wasn’t something that the NHS or the government could just decide to do
chri55ie · 29/12/2020 17:09

Best not to do Twitter....it’s giving mumsnet a run for its money at the moment!

Stop playing around with our emotions government. People are desperate!

tobee · 29/12/2020 17:11

I'm not sure if I'd say a shit sandwich if it was that! More like an inverse shit sandwich 🥪! Grin

Haha emmm okay... nice filling but shit for bread 🤣
Pomegranatespompom · 29/12/2020 17:28

Tbf we need stricter lockdown when people are driving from London to Wales - utterly clueless.

Pomegranatespompom · 29/12/2020 17:30

Gosh - avoiding other threads - people are having a meltdown.

MarshaBradyo · 29/12/2020 17:31

Pom I know I just thought that

Total melt down

Pomegranatespompom · 29/12/2020 17:34

It’s quite sad - some can’t see positives anywhere.

A golden unicorn administering vaccines wouldn’t be enough ..

InterfectoremVulpes · 29/12/2020 17:43

I'd nibble on a shit sandwich if I had a nice cake to look forward to afterwards.

Trouble is that the cake is a lie sometimes...

InterfectoremVulpes · 29/12/2020 17:45

@Pomegranatespompom

Yes, no point in trying to have a balanced discussion when the extremists on both sides are more intent on taking swipes at each other.
FuzzyPuffling · 29/12/2020 17:50

Several pubs/restaurants etc in my area have closed down rather than serve T3 and 4 people - some of whom have been very rude to them. My lovely friends who have a bistro sent away a family from Tier 4 (SE England) and they were "so you aren't going to feed us???"

This is twat news for people on holiday, but good news for locals and great that local businesses are looking after locals. When this is all over, we'll all remember the people that kept us safer.

So as another person who doesn't do Twitter. Does that covid (hate that my phone predicts that word now) good news usually know things? What about who replied?
