Augustbreeze · 17/11/2020 18:06

We love to hear from you@littleowl1, and especially about that triumph!!!

Well done 👍🏻

janetmendoza · 17/11/2020 18:07

Well done Little Owl - that is a really important change.

lurker101 · 17/11/2020 18:11

@boys3 you didn’t miss it. It wasn’t there, until at earliest 11am this morning. I was on at 11 and there was only one document. It also says updated 17/11 at the bottom, so we both can’t have missed it

TheSunIsStillShining · 17/11/2020 18:11

Well done Little Owl :D

I gave them feedback on the quick report, but they don't seem to have read it.

boys3 · 17/11/2020 18:13

a tale of two cities, or the two Richmonds at least.

Richmond, London Borough (Royal as well?), population 198,000

Richmondshire, North Yorkshire, population 53,730

23 London Richmonds would fit into the Yorkshire Richmondshire

Due to technical difficulties, today's data will be released after 6pm

but quite possibly nearer to or even some way past 7pm. Hmm

NullcovoidNovember · 17/11/2020 18:25

I wondered where you todays figs are!

GetAMoveOnTroodon · 17/11/2020 18:31

Well done Littleowl! Can we petition them to offer you a job as head of data?

NeurotrashWarrior · 17/11/2020 19:11

Wonderful @littleowl1! You need a job there! I hope more good comes from all your efforts!

Cornettoninja · 17/11/2020 19:12

I know that I’m not adding anything of value to the thread but I’m getting mightily pissed off with how late these figures are getting; it’s happening more and more.

I understand they’re doing things with the data but even so it shouldn’t be affecting the daily reporting so badly so often surely?

NeurotrashWarrior · 17/11/2020 19:13

@Piggywaspushed I'm not surprised. It's pop pop pop all round here. And my own school. And boom full school closure.

Domino effect to too as staff have to take time for young children. That's closed some classes and schools along with self isolation locally, especially Sen schools.

boys3 · 17/11/2020 19:23

Better make that 8pm as opposed to my rather optimistic 7pm posted earlier. What is the [decidedly irked] emoji? As opposed to simply Angry

Coquohvan · 17/11/2020 19:33

@littleowl1 - great result for your perseverance.

littleowl1 · 17/11/2020 19:35

Thank you all :)

Gosh loving that Zoe app idea!!

Is it just my browser or is today's data still not released?

Regulus · 17/11/2020 19:42

Well done little owl. Wish they would give you a job. although probably a poison chalice

Firefliess · 17/11/2020 19:47

No, still not out @littleowl. Very late today

boys3 · 17/11/2020 19:49

due to technical difficulties, today’s data will be released after 6 pm. Not followed by this evening , so potentially any indeterminate point in the future.

ceeveebee · 17/11/2020 19:50

I think it’s updating now as when I click on the cases page it is saying last updated at 7.49pm but has n/a everywhere

TheSunIsStillShining · 17/11/2020 20:00

In the meantime, while we are waiting patiently

"British Airways is to launch a voluntary coronavirus test for passengers travelling to the UK from three American airports.

The airline said it will trial a testing regime, in partnership with American Airlines, which will involve hundreds of travellers on particular routes from the US to Heathrow.

The passengers will be tested 72 hours before departure, and then on arrival at the west London airport, and three days later.

British Airways, which will share the results of the project with the UK and US governments, is hoping to persuade ministers that testing travellers will make quarantining unnecessary."

If these people are not followed up after 3 days of landing wouldn't that increase the risk of letting many through who might have caught it at the airport/airplane and not yet have enough of a viral load to be +?

ceeveebee · 17/11/2020 20:01

The figures are showing on the cases and deaths boards now - 20,051 and 597 deaths - but the summary daily update not yet updated

ceeveebee · 17/11/2020 20:02

Typo - 598 deaths

TheSunIsStillShining · 17/11/2020 20:05

Look at the test numbers. Massively down for pillar 2. Is there a place where we can see positivity rates or does one have to calculate?
