Numerous other areas moving into tier 2 or 3.

Furlough ending tomorrow.

Surely there should have been some kind of update or announcement from this sorry excuse for a government?

If Boris had got any sense (doubtful) he’ll be at home updating his CV. If Biden gets in next week Brexit becomes a whole different ball game, our great ‘uge best deal ever will be off the table & Boris will be presiding over a cluster fuck of a no deal brexit, no deal with USA & a failure to deal with a pandemic all at once. In his shoes I’d quit & get a job in Tesco’s! I can’t see him lasting much past xmas - whether he jumps or is pushed remains to be seen

The Conservatives will get shot of him by early next year. It's true that if Trump loses next week then any deals pending will be down the drain. Biden and Johnson hate each other by all accounts.
It is all very grim.

If Biden wins (hopefully) I think Brexit no deal won’t happen and BJ will be forced to fudge a deal 🤞

Some of tomorrow's newspapers are reporting that Johnson will be doing a press conference on Monday to announce new restrictions (possible national lockdown with schools and essential shops open) starting as soon as Wednesday and lasting 4 weeks so that Christmas is "saved"

Considering that Johnson called Obama "part-Kenyan president" for saying that he thought Britain should Remain in the EU, I think that Biden has every right to BJ

Why wait until Monday? He should speak tomorrow and he should also extend half term break by at least one week, along with the other measures he is proposing.

They wheel him in when they have to (PMQ etc), he never looks well and he invariably screws it up.

Saving Christmas is the carrot at the end of the stick. They know full well that a huge number of people will visit family at xmas, no matter what the rules are. They will allow us out for Christmas Day because it looks better than saying we can’t go & half the country just ignoring them.
