Anyone NOT know someone whose had it?

I've obviously heard stories of someone who knows someone whose tested positive but I don't know anyone personally whose had it and no cases so far in either the primary school or the secondary school my DC attend.

I'm fully expecting this to change any day now with the cases going up but just wondered how many others don't know of any cases close to them.

I'm in the SW in case anyone's interested.

I'm in Hampshire and don't know a single person who's had it. I don't even know anyone that knows someone who's had it Confused

QueenofLean · 15/10/2020 16:21

I know of people who have had it (friend of a friend type thing). I know a lot of people who had classic symptoms in March but weren’t tested (myself included). I don’t personally know anyone who is confirmed to have had it.

MarcelineMissouri · 15/10/2020 16:22

I know 4 people who probably had it in March but obviously couldn’t get tested. I don’t personally know anyone who has had it or thinks they had it since then. I’m in the West Midlands.

Happyspud · 15/10/2020 16:23

NI, suddenly know loads of people.

Kenworthington · 15/10/2020 16:24

I don’t know anyone who’s had it (yet!!) and I’m also in the sw

GunsAndShips · 15/10/2020 16:35

I'm in rural Norfolk and didn't know anybody who had had it until last week when DD tested positive and since then 5 other children in her school have tested positive.

Fifthtimelucky · 15/10/2020 16:35

I don't know anyone who has had it.

The nearest I have got is one of my niece's flatmates and my daughter's boyfriend's friend's friend!

I'm in the SE. They are both students in the SW.

vanillandhoney · 15/10/2020 16:39

Yep. I'm in Cumbria and don't know anyone who's had it confirmed.

DH and I both had symptoms in March but have no way of knowing whether it was COVID or not.

ButterflyBitch · 15/10/2020 16:52

My son is positive and a child in his class was too. Currently waiting on results for me and my husband as we have symptoms.

Blobby10 · 15/10/2020 16:52

Leicestershire and don't know anyone directly but someone who OH works with was ill for a week the first week of lockdown. She had an antibody test and was positive so assumes she had Covid. No one in my circle of family and friends, including those working on Covid wards, have had it. But then none of us have underlying health conditions, none are excessively overweight and we all put lots of effort in to keeping fit and healthy. Maybe we are just lucky.

moveandmove · 15/10/2020 16:53

I'm in EA and don't know anyone that's had it.

Carrottop73 · 15/10/2020 16:55

I don’t know anyone directly that’s had it.

PriceEmUp · 15/10/2020 16:55

I’m in the SW in a very tight knit community, small villages/towns that apparently riddled with covid but I don’t actually know anyone who’s had it. Yet?

MiniCooperLover · 15/10/2020 16:56

I know one who had it and was hospitalised and now home and recovering but it's a long road and someone who had it but was fine in themself 🤷‍♀️

Suzi888 · 15/10/2020 16:57

Wales - don’t know of anyone who has had it.

Littleposh · 15/10/2020 16:58

I don't, just friends or relatives of people I know. A couple that were ill right at the beginning but no one confirmed

kelpie35 · 15/10/2020 17:00

I am from Scotland and do not know anyone who has had it

VoyageInTheDark · 15/10/2020 17:00

I don't know anyone who's had it. I'm in east Anglia

BogRollBOGOF · 15/10/2020 17:01

I got until this week before directly knowing a household with a confirmed case. East Mids, early hotspot.

I know people that suspect that they had it last Feb/ March. I strongly suspect that DM (82) picked it up in hospital in Feb. She certainly aquired a nasty, stubborn chest infection then had a DVT scare and took months to really feel right again.

StormcloakNord · 15/10/2020 17:02

NE Scotland and I don't know a single person whose had it.

honigbutter · 15/10/2020 17:03

I knew one older lady who died from it and a young (under 40) fit man who was in hospital for weeks on oxygen and took months to recover.

honigbutter · 15/10/2020 17:04

Meant to say, Scotland.

NoGoodPunsLeft · 15/10/2020 17:05

Derbyshire & know 2 personally, and family of a colleague

tortoiseshell1985 · 15/10/2020 17:05

NickMarlow · 15/10/2020 17:06
