Anyone had a test this week? Have you had result yet?

I had a test 8am on Monday at a drive through testing centre - was told 23-48hours for the result when there. Still nothing! I’m 99% sure my cough was a result of a cold and it’s gone now, but obviously need to wait for the result. Stuck at home trying to work and homeschool the kids again Confused

I had a test Friday with a clinic but still no results!

Itsalwayssunnyupnorth · 14/10/2020 10:53

My auntie had a test yesterday at a drive through at around 11am got a text result (fortunately negative) at 9.30 this morning which I thought was pretty good!

Literallyfedup · 14/10/2020 11:04

Depends where you are, in south east it is now taking 72-80 hrs at drive through sites.
London between 24-48, up north then under 30 hrs.
This is a gist I got reading various online forums.

My husband had a test at 3pm yesterday and got his results at 6am this morning. We're in NI though and results have been within 24 hours here every time we've tested.

boatyroo · 14/10/2020 11:11

Have been waiting since Monday AM too. Had results from the same centre within 24 hours a few weeks ago and a friend had results within 24 hours last week. Getting a bit stressed about the kids missing school so long probably unnecessarily.

It’s so frustrating! Was very easy to book the test- went online at 10.30 in the evening and got test for 8 in the morning. I wondered if they were releasing more tests but then there’s a backlog at the lab...

We had a test Sunday at 1.30pm. Had the result just after 10am this morning so around 69hrs... Drive through - south east.

A couple of weeks ago we had one, drive through again and that took 37hrs.

Etotheipiplus1equals0 · 14/10/2020 11:15

I am on the edge of the south east. Why would they say 24-48 hours when I got tested though?!

Two:

One posted Friday afternoon, arrived with them Saturday morning (you can track it), got result Tuesday 3pm

Second at test centre yesterday 11am, result midnight same day!

That’s Scotland.

Etotheipiplus1equals0 · 14/10/2020 11:16

Sounds like I have a good chance of getting the results by tomorrow at least.

Yes, a few weeks ago it was quite hard to get the test booked but results were fast, this time loads of test slots available but no results!
MissBetina · 14/10/2020 11:16

I had a test in south east on Thursday last week and got my result on Monday-positive!

nancy75 · 14/10/2020 11:17

I had a test in Greenwich (SE London) drive through on Saturday morning, got the result yesterday late afternoon - so about 84 hours to get results (negative thankfully)

NotMyFinestMoment · 14/10/2020 11:17

Yes Monday at 12:00 and told within 48 so still waiting.

nancy75 · 14/10/2020 11:18

Like others easy to get the test - the site I used had over 200 spaces available according to the website. It’s a massive testing site, there was me & 1 other car while I was there

OrangeGinLemonFanta · 14/10/2020 11:21

Monday at 10.30am, East of England. No result yet, its a pain having the children at home for what was almost certainly just a cold (although it is very unusual for DD to have a raised temp)

Needsomegoodies · 14/10/2020 11:24

DD tested Sat 11am, result (neg) Monday 6pm, but by then I got a fever too :-( Tested 8am yesterday so still waiting. WFH, 2 kids home and have face to face work Fri so hoping it’s back (and neg) by then! In SE.

Hotpinkangel19 · 14/10/2020 11:26

East Yorkshire, yesterday evening at 4:30.

Needsomegoodies · 14/10/2020 11:27

It’s also unfair that even if you’re unwell you can’t rest and recuperate as WFH means an expectation to just get on with it while simultaneously looking after kids!

OrangeGinLemonFanta · 14/10/2020 11:28

I need DD's negative result now because I have foolishly allowed myself to run out of coffee

LBOCS2 · 14/10/2020 11:49

We did a test on Sunday and got the result yesterday - postal (by courier).

onemouseplace · 14/10/2020 12:10

London Monday morning - no result yet.

I was ok about it as being one of those things until the moment it went over the 48 hours I was told, now I'm massively pissed off. My perfectly healthy DC need to go back to school!

Claire926 · 14/10/2020 12:37

My friend sent his test off early last week and contacted them to find out the result nearly a week later. He said he was told that he was positive and that they knew this days ago. I don't know if that is true but if it is I find it highly irresponsible for them to not inform him as soon as they knew, luckily he was self isolating.

Flatwhite32 · 14/10/2020 15:08

DD tested on Monday afternoon, still waiting 48 hours later. I'm a teacher and it's a pain being off! DD is completely fine now.

looloo247 · 14/10/2020 15:15

My son had a test 9.30am yesterday and negative result came through at 6am today. Think we were either very lucky or it's because we're in Leicester where there's been a big push on testing facilities
