And answer questions today. I wonder if he's doing the briefing today with Bozo?!

I wonder how this will go?!

What a load of shit. He's an advisor. It's the judgement and accountability of the Cabinet, and the PM in particular, which is the issue. I couldn't give a fuck what Cummings has to say for himself. Get Johnson out to tell us what he knew and when and did he give agreement for it to happen.

ArriettyJones · 25/05/2020 13:28

He will stand down.

I agree Vera. He doesn't have the humility to publicly stand down. And there wouldn't be questions after. It will be a "you're all wrong, idiots" self justification thing.

rosiethehen · 25/05/2020 13:31

He won't stand down because he's a slimy little parasite.

StSaulOfSnacks · 25/05/2020 13:31

At the bike rack, hopefully.

bellinisurge · 25/05/2020 13:32

I predict more self justification.

Purplepeonies · 25/05/2020 13:32

I can't see him standing down if he is taking questions. He absolutely should though, of course.

AmyFl · 25/05/2020 13:32

Arrogance itself.

If he was standing down he wouldn't be answering questions.

JamieLeeCurtains · 25/05/2020 13:34

What time?

vera99 · 25/05/2020 13:34

What a totally spineless shit Johnson is sending out a SPAD to the slaughter when the buck stops totally with him.

Wingedharpy · 25/05/2020 13:35

The reality is, though, even if he does stand down/get the sack/ is demoted to senior toilet cleaner at number 10, none of that will stop Boris consorting with him behind the scenes and ultimately remaining under his influence, surely?
It could be argued that by having him one step removed from Boris, they would be under less scrutiny than they are now.

Notmyrealname855 · 25/05/2020 13:35

He’s going to say his child has additional needs and we’re all judgemental twats, and don’t we now feel bad about saying he broke the rules.

No.... you still broke the rules you twat. I know two households in the exact same position, with more kids with AN, who followed the rules to a T.

MotheringShites · 25/05/2020 13:35

Whether you think he’s the scum of the Earth or not, he has the right to speak and defend himself, particularly considering the scenes witnessed outside his home.

Music101 · 25/05/2020 13:37

I don’t want him to answer any questions - just resign. Much more is at stake here than this man’s career.

Anyone think its incredibly strange for an aide to be given an opportunity to speak like this, like he is an MP? If he isnt resigning, how is him standing there stating 'I am right, you are all just stupid if you were taking the rules as literal' isnt going to help the situation.

BigChocFrenzy · 25/05/2020 13:39

Cummings is going to make a statement:

"I hereby sack Boris and I will appoint a new PM shortly

TopperSail · 25/05/2020 13:39

How can DC come out of this with any credibility?
Resign saying it's not because he did anything wrong but for the public interest, so the government can concentrate on the pandemic recovery, an altruistic actHmm

vera99 · 25/05/2020 13:42

"I couldn't have been at Barnard Castle on that date, I was in Pizza Express."

ArriettyJones · 25/05/2020 13:42

In Woking? 😏

FourTeaFallOut · 25/05/2020 13:43

I hereby sack Boris and I will appoint a new PM shortly

GrinGrinGrin

MunchMunch · 25/05/2020 13:44

Haha @BigChocFrenzy I can just imagine that Grin

I don't think he will resign and it's quite scary the hold he seems to have at least over Boris. Can anyone but Boris make him leave?
