Where is Boris?!

Why is Boris no longer doing the daily press conference? I get that he doesn’t need to do it every day but it would be nice if he showed his face once a week!

Quite a large amount of deaths today. I wonder if they’re rattled and the scientists are worried they might have the finger of blame pointer at them if the curve starts to veer off and doesn’t quite do what they want it to do.

B1rdbra1n · 19/05/2020 17:54

Kier Starmer puller back the curtain for us and now we all got Joris Bonson's number
he's in a corner...rocking

MarshaBradyo · 19/05/2020 17:55

I don’t think he should do every press conference actually. Save up for the bigger ones. But hopefully to be better received than last one.

Sparklingbrook · 19/05/2020 17:56

I don’t see a problem. 🤷‍♀️

PickUpAPickUpAPenguin · 19/05/2020 17:56

He has a new baby

He's taking paternity leave later this year

SleepymummyZzz · 19/05/2020 17:57

I don’t think he should do every press conference, just now and then would be nice Hmm

he's gone jogging.

ilovesooty · 19/05/2020 17:58

Alternatively he's swotting up for PMQs tomorrow.

TheFaerieQueene · 19/05/2020 18:02

How can you be surprised? He is a coward and a fraud.

danni0509 · 19/05/2020 18:03

He's hyperventilating into a paper bag thinking about what Kier will do to him tomorrow 😂

Sparklingbrook · 19/05/2020 18:04

If he did do every press conference that would be wrong too. Hmm

Topseyt · 19/05/2020 18:08

Boris completely bungled his attempt to ease lockdown and in outline his failure to make any sort of plan for getting back to a semblance of normality. A day or so later Keir Starmer made mincemeat of him at PMQs and he (Boris) bungled and bumbled his way through that too.

So now he is hidden away in a cellar in Downing Street. They are scared to let him out because by now they know that he is bumbler in chief and will wobble from one bungle to the next.

MadameMarie · 19/05/2020 18:08

He avoided PMQs as much as possible even up against Corbyn.

I doubt he's relishing tomorrow against Starmer.

Topseyt · 19/05/2020 18:10

Starmer will be looking forward to it though.

thetrinityisshite · 19/05/2020 18:12

Sturgeon is on every day. I hope she has a day off soon, she must be exhausted!

Vagndidit · 19/05/2020 18:14

McClean was a bit salty today, especially when pressed about testing standards. Who could blame her? And Boris is nowhere to be found. Again. Maybe he got lost following "The Science"

It seemed a bit tense today, like the conference ended abruptly.

1forAll74 · 19/05/2020 18:14

Boris is only really needed, when bigger issues about lock down need to be given out to the public. The little army of experts can just deal with the daily matters. But why are so many people missing him, when they don't much like him anyway.

SouthernComforts · 19/05/2020 18:14

I imagine they all draw 'daily doom' straws and the losers go ah for fucks sake before being shoved onto the podium with a cattle prod just out of shot.

SleepymummyZzz · 19/05/2020 18:17

I like him, he is very enduring and his bumbling ways are very sweet. He’d be a great uncle, drinking buddy anything but the fucking leader of our country in a crisis!!!

OP posts:
ilovesooty · 19/05/2020 18:20

enduring Grin

Unfortunately.

SleepymummyZzz · 19/05/2020 18:23

🤣🤣 Freudian slip, I meant endearing really!

OP posts:
FliesandPies · 19/05/2020 18:29

If he did do every press conference that would be wrong too

You mean if he did every press conference he would get criticism for the failures of his government?

The PM is supposed to be the focal point for the Gov, a figurehead for the public to relate to. As it turns out, he's as crap at that as he is at everything else he touches so he's trying to keep out of the spotlight and therefore is useless.

PickUpAPickUpAPenguin · 19/05/2020 18:33

I think Trump is on daily?
If Boris is sorting out other stuff like Brexit that's fine but considering his reputation as the invisible man in a crisis you'd think he would be seen more. I know he's been in the Commons and was photographed on Clapping Day.

Clutterbugsmum · 19/05/2020 18:34

I like to know as well.

He is supposed to be the leader of this country and all we get is one badly scripted, prerecorded pile of shite that told us nothing.

As useless as Trump is at least he visible, where as Boris is nowhere to be seen
