The weather has been great, but yes, can cause issues further down.

Oddly, I realised I haven't actually gone onto an office for the last 3 summers. I took a career break. Then was ill, last year. I am not looking forward to a summer where I can't sit out in the sun for at least a bit if the day.

Managed to get older doggy into the groomers today, thank god. She is really really hairy, warm and general fed up. Little doggo has only been once. She needs her nails doing, but I cant imagine she will like it.

I'm at work . It was quite cloudy and chilly this morning when we left so now I'm boiling.🙈

Its been lovely here. After about 10am.

Both doggos sorted. Both exhausted. But the older one has come into season. Straight after her groom. So she has pants on Grin

CrowCat · 28/05/2020 17:03

Went to town and it's pretty much back to normal. Coffee shops are open (not the big franchises but the lovely little artisan ones), and people generally seem chipper!

And we saw DD2 and her DP 😊

Willow2017 · 28/05/2020 17:28

Afternoon all.
Am bloody aching, can hardly lift my bloody arm. Who knew making coffee was crippling? Thank god i am off tomorrow😄
Still gorgeous day here. Need to get out and water plants later.

Poor dogs, hope you got those nice incontinence/period pants they are so 'pretty' cos thats what matters to women 😝

Half listening to Boris am scared to catch up on what Her Maj said earlier....might get the rage. Almost cried when he said secondary schools are going back not a chance here i imagine.

Oooh gona check and see if my fave cafe is reopening as its in England 🤣🤣

Still many "we must stay in purgatory for months" posts i see. Customers keep asking when we are going to be reopen properly and i have no idea. They just put in new metal 'in' gates and along the way out at work! Its a bit bloody late. They serve no purpose whatsoever its where people were going anyway!!!! Its all just bloody show. If they are letting 6 in a family in at a time why bother pretending they are implementing SD?

ISaySteadyOn · 28/05/2020 17:48

Hello everyone and congrats @110APiccadilly!

I am guilty today but I would do it again in a heartbeat. We went on a picnic in our local park. I read to DD1 while DD2 and DS ran around. It was idyllic and just what we needed.

CrowCat · 28/05/2020 19:52

I'm going to be one of those people who has my adult DC over for a bbq next week. And I'm going to see my grandson for the first time in 3 months. Squeeee 😊😊😊

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 28/05/2020 20:50

Hope you feel better soon Willow.

Trev are they scented ones? After all she is a laydeee.

Well as expected we're all go on Monday. Nervous ,but excited at the same time. Working tomorrow again, I have to say, this waking up early thing isn't really working for me yet.Grin

OP posts:
Trevsadick · 29/05/2020 06:24

@PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock unfortunately they are not.

They are old pants of ds when he was young with a hole cut in for her tail. Her seasons are fairly mild now she is a bit older.

I would love to have puppies from her. She is the best dog I have ever had. I just have no clue what I am doing so won't be. But when she is in season I get puppy broody. Never broody for more kids though 🤣

Willow2017 · 29/05/2020 07:36

Morning murderers.
Been up 2 hrs i give up! Got itches all over dont know if it was the strong pain killers i took last night or my new face cream but grrr.
Lovely day so off shopping later and maybe beach trip too. Will take a towel this time 😉
May consider more decorating if i can stay awake after anout 2.5hrs sleep!
Hope work is all going to plan Princess.

GnomeDePlume · 29/05/2020 09:29

Good morning DDog actually let me have a lie in (if we ignore the 'I need to go out' bark at 3.30am).

Went to Wilkinsons before starting work. It was hysterical. Grumpy man in queue complaining about people not getting a wiggle on and mooching about. I had forgotten what fun it is to watch someone getting in a right temper when A I am not related to them and B I'm just enjoying being somewhere different for a few minutes.

They didnt have what I wanted so I compensated by buying some seeds and a fan for my office.

CrowCat · 29/05/2020 12:42

Afternoon all!! Scorching hot and sunny here, so my office for today is the garden table.

Speaking of litters, I have homes for all my chihuahua babies. Which is a relief because I was starting to think no one would want to come get puppies what with lockdown and all, and I was envisaging life with 9 dogs 😂

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 29/05/2020 16:56

Hope work is all going to plan

Well the plan has changed already, so will just have to make the best of it and uhmm...wing it.Grin

Willow2017 · 29/05/2020 19:36

Oh hell thats a good start Princess good luck.

Managed to go shopping but didnt get everything i wanted. Homebase open now so got paint testers and colour charts.
Went to beach with ds2 and had a paddle and a 99😄

Too damm hot now. Would go out the front and do pots but its roasting! I do believe my arms are not milk bottle white now😀

Fell asleep after tea damm and when i woke up i had to force myself to move again or i would still be sleeping😴

Crow you simply cannot mention puppies without photos. Its morally reprehensible.😉

Trevsadick · 29/05/2020 22:40

Hey!

So its friday...and I am drunk...obviously.

But just found out my holiday has been approved....a whole bloody week off! In a couple of weeks.

Also been told I can the rest when I want, so got 2 weeks off at Christmas! Whoop whoop!

Hope everyone is OK xxxx

CrowCat · 29/05/2020 23:00

Ayyy nice one Trev, 2 weeks at Christmas go you!!

I'm not drunk. Not yet yet anyway 😂

Trevsadick · 29/05/2020 23:44

Its pay day. Did a big shop and bough a huge bottle of Kracken rum and one of smirnoff.

Kids free and drunk! Least I have tomorrow for it to wear off before the kids come back on Sunday! 🤣🤣🤣

So happy about Christmas. Its the longest break over Christmas I have had in about 10 years

Oh and also had an video interview with someone who wants to pay me 25% more. Seems like a good company, well known brand. That went well.

Just need to work out, if when this is over, its worth giving up my 4 minute commute for a 45-60 minute one.

As jobs and employers go, I would rather have the new one. But with ds still being at primary, I don't know. Then what happens if school opens, the new employer opens....but breakfast and after school club doesn't?

So celebrating that went well......on my own. Buts that OK. Its lush to have the house to myself. I miss people being around but with lockdown I had no time alone until dp moved out. I am throughly enjoying having the house to myself.

GnomeDePlume · 30/05/2020 07:45

Trevsadick I am deeply envious. Good news about the interview as well. Even if you dont take the role it is nice to be wanted!

My up coming week off has now been reduced to 3 days because I have to cover my assistant's role as his furlough has been extended. We are being told to use up holiday but then actual holiday plans get thwarted when it comes to booking time off. I think the bosses at my work place think there is some sort of time envelope so that we can both take off holiday and work at the same time

On the plus side I had a good long conversation with my assistant yesterday. He was sounding brighter than before. I was genuinely worried about him. He has ASD and is desperately missing the routine of work. Also picked up some good tips from him on choosing a gaming PC which I passed onto DS (he is planning to splurge some of his new found wealth).

I hope you are feeling a bit better Willow2017. It's a blood disorder you have isnt it? They are a bugger. Mine seems to vary with pretty much anything from what I have eaten, the weather, to the state of the pound and the price of fish.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 30/05/2020 08:00

Morning all. Another sunny day, hoping to get some colour on my legs at some point.Grin

Trev enjoy the peace and quiet. Must be nice. Well done on the interview, sounds like you have some thinking to do .

Willow hope you're feeling better.

Crow you owe us some pictures .

Gnome that's proper shit and ridiculous but glad that your assistant sounds better.

Last weekend before going back. Eek! I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I haven't really worked with the people in my team before so that will be interesting. A bit stressed that DD's hours and mine don't quite match up, but hopefully they won't mind.

OP posts:
GnomeDePlume · 30/05/2020 09:01

I think that a lot of teams are working things out as they go along which is heartening. Enjoy your last weekend before starting back Princess.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 30/05/2020 09:18

Gnome there will be a lot of adapting and winging it because obviously this will not be normal schooling, and a lot of our children will come back with a lot of issues/trauma and definitely not in the mind set for learning. So we will be very child/PHSE focused.

It's just that I did all the prep, planning and meetings with a different team, but now I've moved I missed all of that.

It was so nice to spend time with the children these past few days.

Willow2017 · 30/05/2020 09:21

Morning.

I will live thanks. Ask me again tomorrow after spending today making coffee🤣🤣
Its an auto-immune thing Gnome my body took a dislike to my platelets and is on a murdering spree. Hope uou get your assistant back soon its crazy that he wants to work but cant. Thats crap about the hols too your boss is an arse.

Lovely day here but working later. Need yo drag myself out first snd put money on gas card doh! Forgot yesterday.
Trev emjoy the peace. Congrats on the job.

maggienolia · 30/05/2020 09:22

Morning all.
Killed a few more yesterday by wandering round the garden centre and getting some basil for the herb garden. Followed by a stop at the local petrol station-found salted caramel M & Ms.

I'm glad clap for carers is winding down, I have a care call starting at 8pm in a street where it seems to be the in thing. I try to arrive before Mavis with the saucepan comes out and sprint into the house. So far I haven't been spotted.
Just come off another thread where the resident Dementor has replied to a nervous would be supermarket shopper that to go out of her house would mean death raining down on her and the four horsemen of the apocalypse would presumably be around too.
Just hoping that it was someone being sarcastic. It took all of my self control not to reply that it's not nuclear bloody fallout, it doesn't sit in a cloud and descend on random shoppers outside Tesco.
Words fail me sometimes.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 30/05/2020 09:28

four horsemen of the apocalypse would presumably be around too.

They better be 2 m apart, or they'll get chased with pitchforks and dettol sprays.Grin

Morning all!

Here's one of my lovely chihuahua babies 😊

Scorching day. Wish we lived somewhere pretty, we'd be out heaving a picnic today! Never been more regretful that I don't drive.

Princess fingers crossed you soon get into the swing of things at work 😊
