How much weight have you put on - be honest

I'm an emotional eater and with my routine blown I've been struggling to manage my weight since the lockdown.

I usually weigh myself at the gym and don't have scales at home, but can tell I've put on weight just by looking.

Worst case scenario is a stone. Best case ten pounds.

What about you?

Lost 2 kg.

Eminybob · 05/05/2020 18:21

A stone! I had lost 4 stone over the course of the last couple of years, and was finally happy with my body (although ideally looking to lose another stone) and now I’ve buggered it all up.

It’s wine that’s done me in. I’ve been stressed, every day has been a “oh sod it let’s open a bottle” day. But then when I drink I lose control of what I eat. I’m an all or nothing person, I’m either dieting or bingeing.
Yes I know thats really unhealthy and it’s a constant battle. I’m currently going dry and counting calories to claw the gain back.

DarkDarkNight · 05/05/2020 18:21

5lbs - so annoyed with myself as I was losing steadily before this and had finally got a handle on my snacking. I really need to sort my self out.

Eminybob · 05/05/2020 18:22

That stone was since the end of Jan by the way, not just since lockdown.

covidpanics · 05/05/2020 18:22

I don’t dare weigh myself but my clothes are definitely more snug especially round the waist. I’m a size 10 so I know I don’t need to stress but I feel bleugh.
I’m still at work as normal throughout all of this, but I’ve been comfort eating in the evenings and generally eating what I want. I’m still running and doing online workout but it’s not the same as going to the gym.

GetOffTheTableMabel · 05/05/2020 18:25

I gained 3lbs in the first three weeks of lockdown but I’ve managed to put the brakes on all not add to it any further. It is annoying though as I’d just lost those 3lbs since Christmas. I’m 49, perimenopausal and it’s really hard work to lose weight these days.
I only had another 3 to lose to hit my target and now I’m back to 6.
I have eaten a little more and moved a little less though.

Love2Queue · 05/05/2020 19:20

Prob around half a stone.
I got rid of scales as I get too obsessed and was 2 days after giving birth.. Saying I was fat etc.
My jeans still fit... Just so I'm. Not too bothered.. What I don't know don't hurt atm.
Had spend weeks getting hosie sorted but now weather nicer were going for longer walks so hopefully help

YahBasic · 05/05/2020 19:26

Half a stone since Christmas and of that, 4lbs in the past 6 weeks.

I am in my first trimester though, so in that eating all the carbs in sight phase to stave off the sickness.

Selmaselma · 05/05/2020 19:38

I put some weight on in the first few weeks due to a gin & chocolate coping strategy but now I've lost it again (and some more) by cooking only healthy meals and not snacking or drinking.

TriangleBingoBongo · 05/05/2020 19:49

7lb I started lockdown really fit and trim. Feel like a total slob.

MrsJonesAndMe · 05/05/2020 19:58

Have stayed the same and while I'm still busy, I find I'm not getting my heart rate up enough, so added HIIT to my to do list now. Day 2 and I hurt

Will have a rest day with yoga stretch tomorrow Blush

HippyGirlMug · 05/05/2020 20:19

I've lost around half a stone. It hasn't changed my eating habits at all and I planned to lose this weight.

daisypond · 05/05/2020 20:22

I’ve lost weight. Emotional eating to me means eating when happy or not stressed. Stress makes me not eat.

ChangeOfName2020 · 05/05/2020 21:31

I've lost 11lb since March 1st.

I was on a slippery slope with my alcohol consumption so decided to knock that on the head.

Had good results over the first couple of weeks but then came lockdown. Started to go out for a daily walk whilst maintaining being off the booze.

I've been eating a lot healthier and just recently have started using My Fitness Pal.

Not going to lie I've been tempted to jack it all in when stressed, but I've stuck with it and intend to do so for the foreseeable.

I actually think lockdown was a blessing in disguise for me.

WhatWouldPennyDo · 05/05/2020 21:37

I’ve lost half a stone - I put it down to not boozing now I’m pregnant Grin

MarrowWang · 05/05/2020 21:38

I have somehow managed to lose a stone Hmm No idea how as have been eating loads of crap and doing no much but..yeah. When I try to lose weight, it won't move!

Lostvoiced · 05/05/2020 21:39

I had a baby in January so I haven't really put anything on but I also still have a case of 'mum-tum'.
I need to lose weight, my sister is a health nut and ran 10k the other day for her daily exercise! Hmm

itbemay1 · 05/05/2020 21:41

4kg Confused

Lurleene · 05/05/2020 22:06

No idea because I daren't weigh myself but I know I have as I have a new stretch mark on my hip! I escaped my last pregnancy without getting any Blush

I honestly don't think I am eating more but definitely drinking more wine and now I'm WFH I can go hours without moving from my laptop, I need to add a bit of power to my walk round the block.

Lovely1a2b3c · 05/05/2020 22:07

About 2.5lbs I think. I was already a size 18 though so really need to get these (and all of the other) pounds off quickly!

Pickles89 · 05/05/2020 22:08

@MarrowWang Shock I think we need to hear more! That sounds like my sort of regimen!

VaTeLaverLesMains · 05/05/2020 22:19

I've put a bit on in case I get the virus and need the weight when I'm ill.

Clothes still fit but I am eating cake, biscuits, chocolate, cheese plenty and although I haven't got scales I feel bigger.

I'm also trying to feed up the dcs.

supercatlady · 05/05/2020 22:32

I’m too scared to get on the scales - at least a atone

PonderTweek · 05/05/2020 22:44

Our scales are broken which is probably a good thing. Grin Pre-lockdown I walked absolutely everywhere and worked out and did yoga etc, but most of that has stopped bar a Joe Wicks session with my son in the mornings. Blush We have taken over a really unkempt plot at the local allotment and have been working on it a lot recently, which is probably why I haven't put lots of weight on. I do feel I may have put on a pound or two due to evening snacking, but it's not got out of hand quite yet. I thought I'd be drinking more whisky if I'm perfectly honest but I'm not really feeling it, which again is a good thing.

My 3yo seems to be getting chubbier by the day. Poor thing doesn't get to run around outside much and he is always hungry!

ChangingConstantlyNamerHamer83 · 05/05/2020 22:52

8lb, this is our 7th week at home.

It's because ive eaten so many crisps and chocolate 🤦‍♀️ and im having twice as many brews as i usually do

Ive not snacked as much today and ive cut down my sugars too. Hopefully start seeing a difference in the next week or so
