I'm an emotional eater and with my routine blown I've been struggling to manage my weight since the lockdown.

I usually weigh myself at the gym and don't have scales at home, but can tell I've put on weight just by looking.

Worst case scenario is a stone. Best case ten pounds.

What about you?

Around half a stone. I'm a stone away from where I want to be. I do intermittent fasting and find that hard at home, added to that my daughter and I find baking is one of our favourite lock down past times! So for the last couple of weeks I have been managing my fasts to maintain this weight, the plan will be to maintain until this ends, and then focus on losing.

IamChipmunk · 05/05/2020 16:52

Ive lost 4lbs. Was trying to loose anyway. Lockdown has made it easier to exercise as Im WFH. We have a treadmill so im running 5k 4 times a week and walk kids and dog everyday.
Me and Dh have consciously decided not to drink during the week and we haven't been getting any takeaways.

pigsDOfly · 05/05/2020 16:58

@Caramel78 I put on about 1.5 stone a while ago. I found something that helped me motivate myself to lose it was to write myself a 'letter', it was quite brutal and long, about how it makes me feel when I'm heavier that I want to be and how overeating makes me feel, bloated and uncomfortable in my case.

When I lost motivation I used to read it and realise how annoyed and upset I'd be with myself if I just let the weight go back up again.

Putting the weight on is so easy, losing 2 stone takes hard work.

PickAChew · 05/05/2020 16:58

Just a couple of pounds. My legs are chunkier from walking more than usual to keep Ds2 entertained and it's pretty hilly, here. I've also been baking more, though.

HoyaFlower · 05/05/2020 16:59

I've been putting on weight gradually over the last ten years but haven't put any on during lockdown as not been snacking as much.

user1468953505 · 05/05/2020 17:00

Easy half a stone. I checked when it was up 5 pounds but that was 2 weeks ago.

I have gone cold turkey on the sugar for the last 3 days. I had to get a handle it because I worked so hard to get to goal and it goes back on so easy sob

Caramel78 · 05/05/2020 17:02

@pigsDOfly thanks that’s a really good idea

FliesandPies · 05/05/2020 17:04

About a stone but I can't face weighing myself - all comfort/emotional eating, especially chocolate which started with easter eggs and has continued unabated.

I know if I cut out sugar it will come straight off but I can't face it at the moment.

TheFlis12345 · 05/05/2020 17:04

I have lost a couple of pounds. Have been furloughed so sleeping late and tending to have brunch rather than 2 separate meals for breakfast and lunch as I usually would. I’ve also got back into running now I have the time. We’re eating more treats (and drinking more wine!) than usual but the above seems to be balancing it out.

Drivingdownthe101 · 05/05/2020 17:05

I’ve stayed the same, which sounds good except my cousin was supposed to be getting married last weekend and the plan was to lose a stone by then.

Fishfingersandwichplease · 05/05/2020 17:06

Lost 12lbs so far....not going out for lunches and stopping snacking has helped. I can't be bothered to go shopping for treats, bad enough going for essentials so decided to knock the bad habits on the head. Been a long time coming though

thenewaveragebear1983 · 05/05/2020 17:06

I was 10.5 st start of lockdown and 10.13. Two days off the carbs, this morning I was 10.9 (so what's that, 4lbs off? Which is my water bloat- the rest is toast and biscuits which will take more work!!)

I feel so much better when I eat well so I need to remind myself of that because aside from weight, I was starting to feel really low and demotivated. A few days really healthy eating and I feel so much brighter.

managedmis · 05/05/2020 17:07

I've put on ten pounds since last year - 5 of which are due to lockdown munchies I'm sure

I'm now on it to lose it

It's summer soon!

buttcrackmcheese · 05/05/2020 17:09

We went into isolation the week before lockdown, and in the first 3 weeks I put almost a stone on 😳 we are utter crap. I've since lost 10lbs thank god.

buttcrackmcheese · 05/05/2020 17:10

ATE utter crap!!! 😂

motherrunner · 05/05/2020 17:12

I’ve lost weight. At 5 ft 7 and at 9 stone I was slim anyway but the constant stress of teaching live lessons with managing my own children, the worry about my mum becoming ill if the virus gets into her home and the worry about returning to school without adequate safety procedures has meant I feel too ill to eat most of the time. I don’t have any scales but my clothes are looser.

Branches1 · 05/05/2020 17:12

7lbs or so?

Shodan · 05/05/2020 17:13

None, as of today.

I put on 4lb over the first three weeks due to unaccustomed baking bouts, then caught myself on and cut back for the next couple of weeks.

I'd started a diet sometime in January and painstakingly lost half a stone (it comes off sooooooo slowly at my age) so I didn't want to go backwards.

Still got another stone or so to go before I'm happy though.

BertieDrapper · 05/05/2020 17:13

I've gained 5lbs when I weighed myself last week. But that's 5lbs id lost in the weeks before isolation as I was meant to be going on holiday THIS Friday!! 😩
Once we are allowed back to the gym etc I'll lose it again 😕 online classes just aren't the same!!

cravingthelook · 05/05/2020 17:13

5lb which upset me as I lost 25lbs last year.
I noticed this last week. I dropped 2lb since I checked. I've literally stopped eating unnecessarily again.

I'm feeling hungry, so just drinking more water and I know a lot of it is boredom

TwelveSocks · 05/05/2020 17:17

I put on half a stone at the beginning of lockdown but I’ve managed to lose it now. Unfortunately, I’ve gone back to eating crap and need to stop before I put it back in again.

Delatron · 05/05/2020 17:19

About 4Ib. Used to have a very active job, walked a lot, took dog out, ran lots and school run mile each way x 4. Used to average about 15-20k steps a day.

I’m still running about three times a week but sat at home trying to homeschool I’m struggling to hit 10k even with the runs and dog walks. I’m snacking so much more as I’m here and not as busy. Drinking more.

We keep baking bread. Flap jacks, shortbread. It needs to stop!

WobblyAllOver · 05/05/2020 17:21

2kg but now trying to get my diet back on track with normal meals rather than crisps/biscuits etc.

Iamclearlyamug · 05/05/2020 17:25

I gained 23lb but since mid November last year, I've lost 6 of them and am now 12st 6 and 5'7 🙈🙈 I feel disgusting and I'm trying but so difficult to feel motivated during lockdown. Not as if anyone sees me any way, fiance and I will be apart until international flights start again 😔

MinkowskisButterfly · 05/05/2020 17:31

I initially put weight on in the couple of weeks before lockdown (we were self isolating) but since then I have lost about 10lbs I think as I am purposely dieting as I am obese and scared myself.
