I am not. I am referring to increased posts on a Covid-19 Facebook group and peoples comments on posts, news links and news websites

I'm unsure if people are just getting twitchy or they genuinely believe this isn't a real thing??

Fact for how all digital publishing works across the board. It’s a small industry. People move round it often. It’s a fact.

But hey, I could say I’m a nurse in a COVID ICU ward and you’d all believe me, no questions asked, and take everything I say as gospel...

@BackseatCookers I never claimed to be close to the cover up. If you took time to read my post you’d know that.

The people giving you “the news” know little more than anyone else. They are just taking what someone else has written and repackaging it for their own publication.

That's not true though, obviously. Most people engage their critical thinking faculties enough to know that if someone says something on an anonymous forum it doesn't mean it's true.

But being deliberately vague on an anonymous forum just reeks of attention seeking and 'If I told you I'd have to kill you' vibes that it undermines your credibility.

I'm a PR, I'm perfectly aware the press take things and spin them for the benefit of their benefactors / funding sources.

But this virus is not fake. Real people are dying. People who might not be famous / 'newsworthy' individually but are much loved and valued people.

I did take the time to read your post. Your positioned yourself as someone who knows them truth' and sees through media bullshit because you know people in the press. Loads of us do. Absolutely loads.

People can spin the numbers / use the fear of coronavirus to try to control people but it doesn't mean that real, everyday people aren't suffering from it and dying of it. People many of us know and love within our own familial / social circles.

What I don’t understand is if 5G makes you sick or is being blamed for all this, then why was everyone cool with 4G?

They weren't it's been bubbling along for years alongside that Wifi gives you cancer etc.

It only really gained traction when Corona took off in China, in the news prior there was all the talk about huawei rolling out our 5g network, some people took the little snippit of information of why huawei being involved could be an issue (from the CCP perspective) and rolled it all up into a nice juicy conspiracy theory.

Even the likes of Piers Corbyn was pushing it back in January..

It's not attacking the elderly and leaving children alone. Viruses need a host in order to reproduce. They usually want that host to survive so it can transmit from them to other potential hosts..otherwise it will die very quickly and can't proliferate. The virus most likely doesn't want to kill their host. Elderly people and immunocompromised people are not an ideal host. They die quickly because they are vulnerable. While young children are often vulnerable because their immune systems aren't fully developed, they can also be less vulnerable because they are healthier. Their organs etc haven't had much wear and tear. As such they are a much more desirable host for many pathogens than elderly people. In the case of covid19, children seem to act more as vectors in that they convey the virus around - it can reproduce in them, and then be transmitted to the next host. This is its life cycle. It is not a sentient being that wants to kill or spare anyone. Awful as it is for us, it's just trying to survive and thrive.

People are dying. I know 2. I also know over 10 people who have recovered. Our hospital is very quiet, however several local nursing homes have it. Real people with a virus, some very ill.

The same is happening in other countries.

Now I get that you are scared so does it make it easier for you if silly theories are spouted rather than the crazy TRUTH than some viruses are contagious and some virus can kill people - pretty simple really.

Covid 19 is not the only coronavirus it is A coronavirus. There is more than one coronavirus. Pneumonia is caused by a coronavirus. That's also why coronavirus is listed on bleach. Yes they HAVE been around for years and yes they are known about. This one is a NOVEL coronavirus (new coronavirus) This is the problem with "non conspiracy theorists" discussing this. So much BS comes from lack of information.

I won't be paying for a vaccine the government will. So why would the government go along with this? They would be tricking themselves out of their own money.
