I was listening on the radio and noticed the stumbling and hesitation and wondered if there were some technical hitches, but now watching on TV and can see how he's not looking right!

He's always seemed a bit out of his depth but has he fully recovered from his own bout of Covid? So many stories of people still struggling with it after a month (and that's those who didn't need hospital). Relapses too. He probably genuinely needs some time off to properly rest. The body can only take so much.

How have they dealt with the ONS figures which were released today? They suggest that the infection rate could be 60% higher.

I haven't met him, but a number of people I know have, and apparently he is one of better health ministers we have had, with all the right intentions. He's working really hard, but unfortunately will probably have to carry the can for the awful performance of some of those in PHE and NHS procurement, who frankly, it has long been known, are not fit for purpose, but you can't get rid of them.

Gosh a poor performance today - I understand he is exhausted but this body language and stumbling words fill me with no confidence. And he was one of the few I liked/trusted in earlier conferences.

I thought maybe his autocue had stalled. He's not holding the floor as well as he has done in the past.

He is probably exhausted and I am sure frustrated with the bumbling nhs trust system . That’s one thing I do hope comes out of this they the trust system is abolished.
