Slippers inside, wellies outside - we're v rural. No need for the others.

What are you not using at all?

Someone on the S&B board recommended huggie earrings about a month ago as you could sleep in them and forget about them and would always look like you had made an effort. I bought some immediately, haven't taken them out since. I like to think those, and a hasty application of red lipstick (shows up well, any wobbliness you can blame on picture quality) are kidding my colleagues that I have made an effort for work. As long as I don't stand up and show them the trackies and slippers.

OntheWaves40 · 13/04/2020 22:39

Gosh it never crossed my mind not to wear a bra, I don’t think I’d feel dressed without it!

I haven’t use hair straighteners in ages, or my car. I put make up on and get ‘properly’ dressed three times a week to walk to Tesco express otherwise it’s pjs all day or joggers and fleece.

Longdistance · 13/04/2020 22:41

I haven’t used my makeup or designer handbag for about 4 weeks now. As it’s been sunny my hairdryer has taken a backseat. My cctv has been fabulous in catching fly tippers.

Number12 · 13/04/2020 22:45

Ok I need to know what a day robe is. That very much sounds like something I need in my life!
Im living in slippers, wellies and dressing gown. A day robe sounds much more gown up and glamorous.

That was extremely unkind of your husband. I guess some men don't like it when we throw off the societal shackles. It says a lot more about them than it does about us.

ofwarren · 13/04/2020 23:12

@HarryKanesrightsock
Your husband is an arse. I assume he's a Greek god who's always perfectly turned out?

Toothsil · 13/04/2020 23:45

Hairdryer
Make up
Handbag
Car

I don't understand all the people who feel comfy not wearing a bra, I feel so wrong without the comfort of one!

MsMeNz · 14/04/2020 21:14

Not wearing a bra so uncomfortable for me (large 'uns) but I have been living in crocs much to dh disgust 😬 no make-up other than what's tattooed. And I have a personal quirk I don't indulge in very often....I like wearing ear muffs so I wear them around the house fairly often, its a comfort thing. So earmuffs and crocs for me 😁 although the ear muffs come off when I'm on conference calls 😀

EightNineTen · 14/04/2020 21:21

I had a hair appt in March that didn't happen. Before then I'd been idling with the idea of letting the dye grow out. I've decided I can't be arsed with half the things I used to do and spend money on, getting my hair dyed being one of them. I'm looking forward to being grey!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 14/04/2020 21:23

I never wear makeup, but I haven’t worn shoes for over three weeks. Still wearing the bra, though - don’t want to risk tripping over my boobs and hurting myself! Grin

Letsdoanamechangeagain · 14/04/2020 21:30

No make up
Hair is basically scraped back into permanent bun, it may stay that way for days.
CBA shaving my legs
Leggings and hoodies all the way.

I bloody hate the zoom meetings and the WhatsApp video calls. I cant be arsed making an effort right now

Hannsmum · 14/04/2020 21:41

All ive been doing is change from pjs to pjs for the last month

BooseysMom · 14/04/2020 21:48

I have been conducting a secret experiment for the last 6 months. Since last summer i have stopped shaving my legs. I figured it was the right time to do it as i never wear skirts in the winter, never go swimming and DH wouldn't notice if one of my legs actually fell off! I just couldn't see the point of shaving them any more. They've now come to a stop in growing and the hairs are about 1cm long! Shock they aeem much longer than my arm hairs. I think i wouldn't have the guts to do it if i was dark so being blonde helps. It's actually very liberating and i love it as i'm a natural kinda gal anyway. Smile

Youngatheart00 · 14/04/2020 21:54

I’ve still been wearing bras but comfier / non wired ones, I’m a DD cup so going without during the day actually feels uncomfortable and I’m happier with the support / structure underneath my clothes.

I’ve put mascara and a touch of bronzer on just a handful of times for conf calls.

Living in yoga pants, comfy shorts or PJ bottoms with plain stretchy tops. Not worn jeans in over a month and given my snack habits and general sedentary life now I’m a bit worried I’m not going to fit in to any when the time comes!!

Anyone else worried they’ve put on a whole stack of weight???!

I0NA · 14/04/2020 22:12

So basically many of us are living like ( most ) men do all the time.

Wearing clothes and shoes for comfort and practicality rather than fashion.

Not wearing tight shapewear to make our bodies a socially acceptable shape.

Washing our hair but not styling it.

Not dying our hair.

Not removing our body hair.

No make up or nail polish.

testing987654321 · 14/04/2020 22:16

That's how I live all the time.
I am proper lazy though.

YogaLite · 14/04/2020 22:20

My watch is still on winter time coz not wearing it, same for bra. Hair permanently up.

TheHumansAreDefinitelyDead · 14/04/2020 22:31

What kind of horror bras are you all wearing that you’d rather go without?

I wear nice soft ones, prefer having them on than off

I still wear perfume, as I like it and wear it for me Smile

Shaved my legs as I like the smooth legs feeling in bed

I guess I am still trying to pretend things are normal, in a way Grin

Littlebirdie123 · 14/04/2020 22:32

Be careful. I was in hospital for a few weeks and didn't wear shoes. Oh my goodness my feet hurt so much when I had to wear them again.

PonderTweek · 14/04/2020 22:35

I live in various joggers and band t-shirts and love it. I only get dressed in said joggers and t-shirts for Joe Wicks, but it's a good motivator to get showered afterwards and at least put new underwear on. Grin I've never worn that much makeup but I can't seem to be able to stop wearing my BB cream, concealer for my spots and a tiny bit of brown tint on my eyebrows. I'm quite happy without makeup but feel better when I can cover up my spots as I have a handful that have recently popped up for some reason...

My husband is also loving the fact that he doesn't have to wear a suit and he's just chilling in his hoodies. It's nice.

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 14/04/2020 22:37

Only wearing clothes I can also do yoga in
No shoes
No makeup, except for a bit of mascara and lip balm if I have a video conference meeting for work (my skin's gone to shit though, weirdly)
Lots of dry shampoo and contemplating the Lockdown Head Shave.

I have still been wearing perfume most days, and I don't like not wearing a bra. And I've invested in a load of eyebrow razors, which I love.

Solina · 14/04/2020 22:41

Honestly I have not worn 90% of my clothes for a month. I wear leggings and t-shirt or shorts and t-shirt or my comfy summer maxi dresses most days. No socks which I love as I don't like wearing socks anyways. No bra unless I am sat at the desk all day as it get uncomfortable after few hours. Haven't brushed my hair much, not used hair dryer either. No make up at all, no perfume. When we can go back to the office it will be a bit of a chore to get ready!

Also, DP is wearing t-shirt and joggers or shorts. He is growing a lockdown beard which is getting quite big now!

foreverandalways · 14/04/2020 22:50

F

Sadsammy · 14/04/2020 23:00

No foundation just minimal eyeliner and mascara
Skin feels wonderful
Sunglasses mean you get away with a lot
Slippers or Skechers
Actually cashed money before lockdown and of course haven't spent any of it as no-one really wants it
Root-watching to see how desperate I get before trying probably inappropriate hair dye that I've never used before
In PJs of an evening, earlier and earlier
Drinking wine increasingly earlier

FelineUK · 14/04/2020 23:30

No make-up (that means no hardly any eyebrows)
No bra - boobs now down to knees
No diet - stomach also down to knees
No travel - money saved, lbs gained (literally - no exercise - see above!)
No commute - not rammed in like sardines with some guy's rucksack pushed into my boobs or where the sun doesn't shine; not having to see people picking their noses; not having to listen to everyone's loud 'private' conversation; that's been bliss most of all!
No heels
No socks or knee highs

Been wandering around in tatty gardening clothes, hair in ponytail, don't care what DH thinks! Thought of having to do all that again when going back out to work. urghhh!
