What would you choose it to be?
I reckon most MNers will vote for hairdresser.
I want swimming pool.

And you?

Sadly next. I’ve realised that a) I buy pretty much all my kids clothes from there and b) they don’t fit into last years summer clothes and c) I could really do with several more pairs of their harem pants for lounging around the house and finally d) that I must be middle aged if next is now my hearts desire.

The beauty salon where my nail and eyebrow lady is based (she's self employed so rents a space). It's been 5 weeks since my last appointment (and had Mother's Day, my birthday and my wedding anniversary without them redone). Had to do the one thing I promised her I would never ever do and pick up tweezers and pluck my eyebrows. I'm sure I've probably ruined them but at least they're neat (and won't be seen). And my acrylics are all still on and in good condition with minimal lifting considering they're 5 weeks old. Always have them very long anyway so the extra length is not a problem at all for me. Haven't even had to use any glue to hold them down yet which is brilliant. (I know you're not really meant to glue them but my nail lady said I can in an emergency as a temporary fix so. Won't be taking them off unless I absolutely have to).

All those saying the range Poundland and Argos these shops are all still open, but Argos is only open if it's in the Sainsbury's stores.

Isla727 · 11/04/2020 20:46

I'm not missing anything- most shops still deliver anyway!

FizzyLimes · 11/04/2020 20:50

Garden centre, DIY shop, the Tip

BentNeckLady · 11/04/2020 20:52

My favourite garden centre but I’m saving up the money I would have spent and plant to have a a big old splurge when we’re allowed out again.

gamerchick · 11/04/2020 20:53

@gamerchick
B&Q are operating a click and collect service in my area, they also deliver. You may be able to get compost from them

Thankyou. I've checked, ours are essential stuff only, the garden options just aren't available online. There is one bit warehouse place that is offering is a fair distance away. Wickes is only open to essential services as well. All the garden parts of everywhere aren't playing.

I will sort something, it's probably going to cost a fortune though.

Mammyloveswine · 11/04/2020 20:53

Primark... ds1 needs summer clothes!

candyflossicecream · 11/04/2020 20:56

Defo primark. Kids need summer clothes and shoes and they destroy everything they wear so primark is as upmarket as they get 😂 and I want a rainmac 😂😂

Solina · 11/04/2020 20:56

The garden centre. I wanted to do quite a bit of work in the garden but now have no tools for it.

snowegg · 11/04/2020 20:59

I'm desperate for a latte.

Thefaceofboe · 11/04/2020 21:02

Next! Got my eye on a gorgeous dress for my niece and they aren’t taking online orders either Sad

JacketPotatoQueen · 11/04/2020 21:05

Local beauty place - really need a wax.....

TigerDroveAgain · 11/04/2020 21:05

Hairdressers
Coffee shop
Football (ok, I know it’s not a shop but you do have to buy tickets so it is really Grin)

Not in that order

And the pub

morecoffeerequired · 11/04/2020 21:05

I was going to say garden centre, but on balance it would have to be a shoe shop. My shoes are knackered.

BarbaraofSeville · 11/04/2020 21:07

The tip.
Ikea, I can virtually see it from my house and I have A List
Bundobust, if you've been, you'll know why.

Missteebeee · 11/04/2020 21:09

The recycling centre .........I have so much stuff to get rid of

Chickydoo · 11/04/2020 21:12

Opticians.
My glasses have broken, have stuck them with sellotape. Would love to browse for another pair.

HelloDulling · 11/04/2020 21:12

Anniecott, the minute lockdown lifts I will be texting my Hairdresser. His salon is always spotless, and he works in there alone. A cut will do, but I really want a four hour colour appointment.

PanicAtTheDiscLo · 11/04/2020 21:15

You’ll only know what this is if you’re a West Country person. But a shop we have here called Trago mills.
We’ve just moved and are expecting a baby soon.
I think I could probably get all the baby bits and pieces and a food shop 3 months worth of pet food and the house bits we need. And a full tank of petrol super cheap.
I hate it generally but it would 100% do the job.

cologne4711 · 11/04/2020 21:16

Argos is only open if it's in the Sainsbury's stores I know, but I can walk to my local standalone Argos, the nearest Sainsburys with an Argos is about 5 miles away.

Dizzygirl00 · 11/04/2020 21:18

The Range....oh wait 🤦‍♀️

Ken1976 · 11/04/2020 21:18

To the person who said Argos , we went there today to collect an item that we had ordered on line . It was an Argos within Sainsburys and you have to Ofer online and then collect from the store as per instructions. We went to collect ours this morning and accidentally bought some essentials from Sainsburys while we were there

cologne4711 · 11/04/2020 21:19

I believe Trago Mills is open, at least the one near Drumbridges.

When I was a child it was a horrible warehouse place, it's been turned into a bit of a tourist attraction since then. I still hate the place though and would never go there again!

bananafish · 11/04/2020 21:20

My nail salon. Turns out I’m rubbish at manicures; who would have guessed? 💅🏽😬
