What would you choose it to be?
I reckon most MNers will vote for hairdresser.
I want swimming pool.

And you?

I went to the range just before lockdown. In fact there are reports it might be open still but I’m not trusting it but I’d get...

Stuff to make my kids birthdays feel like fun
Craft stuff
Outdoor furniture
Things for the pets
Compost, tubs, seeds, etc,
Easter eggs

Etc

I felt guilty as I spent £80 that trip, now I wish I’d doubled it.

mangocoveredlamb · 11/04/2020 19:53

It’d be Ikea for me for a browse and Chuck of the kids jn Smalland!

Krazykitty · 11/04/2020 19:53

Costa for a coconut cappuccino / flat white

soundsystem · 11/04/2020 19:53

Ikea!

But hairdressers would also be good

BeFire · 11/04/2020 19:53

Primark and the pub...I feel like I'm much classier than what my answer suggests Grin

Weekday28 · 11/04/2020 19:54

Some where like home base/ b & q. I would like garden plants and just a general mooch but also some paint!

rc22 · 11/04/2020 19:54

Hotel chocolat. I love to pretend to browse until they bring the free sample tray around.

Holothane · 11/04/2020 19:54

Swimming pool
Shop Smiggle I’d have a blow out.

FizzyPink · 11/04/2020 19:54

Primark here too! At the end of last summer I threw away all sandals, white knickers and other cheap summer clothing that had seen better days thinking I’d just pop to Primark around this time. And now I don’t have any sandals to wear or knickers for under my floaty summer dresses

Bigearringsbigsmile · 11/04/2020 19:55

B and q and the tip.
Or john lewis

Marks and Spencer

panicstationsready · 11/04/2020 19:57

Costa

ShesGotBetteDavisEyes · 11/04/2020 19:59

TK Maxx - I love a good mooch in tkmaxx. I also need my nails doing desperately but more than either of those I just want the restaurants open again.

Lockdown has made me realise how often we eat out!

ch3rrycola · 11/04/2020 20:02

@LuxuryWoman2020 Poundland is still open Smile

MilaRos · 11/04/2020 20:04

IKEA, primark and the tip! Also want the pub open for a nice meal after :)

doodlejump1980 · 11/04/2020 20:04

Chisholm Hunter where my bling is currently on lockdown.

Anniecott · 11/04/2020 20:04

Primark- I want some new summer clothes and obviously have very limited funds due to be furloughed and my husband being self employed.

Out of interest as a salon based hairdresser, having seen soooo many people moaning about the state of their hair, how long after restrictions are lifted will you feel comfortable coming into the salon, as obviously it's a very close contact service, some of my colleagues think we're gong to be rushed off our feet but I'm not so sure, as I think people will be wary because of the whole social distancing thing being ingrained by then.

BikeRunSki · 11/04/2020 20:07

A lot of garden centres around me are doing not contact home deliveries.

Pool! specifically the outdoor pool in Hathersage.

FizzyPink · 11/04/2020 20:07

@Anniecott I’ve already told my nail bar and hairdresser I’ll be in as soon as it’s lifted. I was in both the weekend before we went into lockdown so I don’t feel any more worried than I did then.
I assume that would be different if you have lots of elderly or vulnerable customers however

Samtsirch · 11/04/2020 20:08

Charity shops
Next
Garden centres
My local curry house.

If I could only pick one, curry house hands down 🙂

thesurreyyouth · 11/04/2020 20:10

@Anniecott I want to be at the front of the queue when hairdressers are allowed to reopen.

cologne4711 · 11/04/2020 20:10

Hairdresser would be good but not a shop.

I'd actually vote for Argos, and I think they could be open now, as their way of operating is very low risk.

gamerchick · 11/04/2020 20:10

Any garden centre.

It's April, I have seedlings coming out of my ears and not enough soil. I need a lot and getting it from a supermarket will just get me lynched.

justgivemewine · 11/04/2020 20:10

Garden centre/diy shop,

The irony is not lost on me that while lockdown has spurred me on to sort our garden out properly, I can’t actually get the stuff I need to do it 🤦🏼‍♀️

Samtsirch · 11/04/2020 20:11

@Anniecott
I will be making an appointment the minute my local hairdresser re opens.
But some of my friends are wary and want to watch and wait..

LyndaSnellsSniff · 11/04/2020 20:11

Jo Malone. It’s completely over-the-top frivolous and luxurious and I love it. I’d have one of their hand and arm massages and have a very important and in-depth discussion about fragrance layering. I miss it hugely.

And the hairdressers. I had no idea I was THIS grey.
