Do you wash your shopping?

Are you cleaning your shopping? Cans & packets etc? And what about your post?

OP posts:
DramaAlpaca · 10/04/2020 19:11

No, neither post nor shopping.

chickedeee · 10/04/2020 19:11

No most comes in packets!

I do wash my hands after unloading it however and I am willing to 'take the risk' rather than bleaching everything.

Marmite27 · 10/04/2020 19:12

Yes to both, but there’s loads of threads on this already.

Twickerhun · 10/04/2020 19:12

No >>>> that is the way to insanity

Undecided91 · 10/04/2020 19:13

No

SunnySomer · 10/04/2020 19:14

No

Axlcat · 10/04/2020 19:15

Yes - wipe it down with diluted bleach

MashedPotatoBrainz · 10/04/2020 19:15

No but it gets left in garage for 3 days before unpacking.

pigsDOfly · 10/04/2020 19:17

No.

I wash my hand when I get home, as I've always done. Unpack my shopping and wash my hands again.

I wash all fruit and vegetables before use, again something I've always done.

And no, I don't wash my post.

maa1992 · 10/04/2020 19:19

I wipe over everything with a dettol wipe

ohmysoul · 10/04/2020 19:22

No

PlywoodPlank · 10/04/2020 19:23

Nope.

OuterMongolia · 10/04/2020 19:24

No

Travelban · 10/04/2020 19:25

No....

Ostanovka · 10/04/2020 19:27

I clean things which need to be refrigerated, and leave everything else for a couple of days before putting away.

tempestterra · 10/04/2020 19:28

No. But wash my hands after removing packaging and before touching food.

Would love to know how long the virus can survive on things like tomatoes and cucumbers and grapes etc. As I wouldn't want to wash them in soap, but do wonder if the virus can linger on these surfaces for days?

TheoriginalLEM · 10/04/2020 19:31

I've just started to do this despite the fact i suspect I had coronavirus at the end of March. I fluctuate between being perfectly fine and being scared out of my wits.

Parker231 · 10/04/2020 19:32

No - why? I put it away and wash my hands. Same as I would do normally.

Totopoly · 10/04/2020 19:34

No. I am doing exactly what I have always done, namely washing my hands before eating or preparing food.

SquatBetty · 10/04/2020 19:38

No

Honeyroar · 10/04/2020 19:54

Yes I generally wipe things with a antibacterial wipe at the minute, especially if for my elderly parents. Wash fruit before using it, I generally peel veg I use and wash my hands a lot at the moment anyway. I’d rather do everything I can at the moment. I’m generally a bit of a slob normally!

Bagelsandbrie · 10/04/2020 19:55

No.

Anthilda · 10/04/2020 20:10

Yes with disinfectant, every item. It's a nightmare. Then clean everything I touched in car plus keys and purse and debit card. Throw away bags I used and scrub kitchen, hallway. Wash hands very frequently in between.

I pick mail up with plastic glove n leave it for few days before I open.

Bit much I know.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 10/04/2020 20:20

No, not doing any of it.

RhubarbAndMustard · 10/04/2020 20:24

How can you leave frozen/fridge items in a garage for 3 days?

I wipe everything down with a cloth and soapy water. We wipe down the car with alcohol spray. This isn't normally me..but this isn't normal times.
