@godhelpusall I haven’t been recording my sticky eyes as it did not occur to me that it was a symptom. I would say I had them at the beginning and that they came back last week though (I’m currently Day 23ish).

user34254356 · 13/04/2020 08:27

Good morning. Everyone seems to be up bright and early.

I had a decent sleep. About 8 hours with a break in between for 30 mins. Hopefully this will give my body more chance to beat this virus.

@casino218 @Longshot glad you are feeling more positive this morning

@godhelpusall sorry you are more anxious today. I think we are in this for the long haul and so I have almost reconciled to this virus staying with me for another month and I will be having waves of good days and bad days.

Day 27 here. I go back to work tomorrow but my boss has agreed to transitioning so I will log on for about a couple of hours in the first week and see how it goes. I have woken up again with sweaty hands and feet. Last night I was feverish again so i had to take paracetamol. Nausea is back and my most concerning symptom of high heart rate refuses to leave.

Egghead68 · 13/04/2020 08:29

Good morning. Everyone seems to be up bright and early.

Because we can’t sleep!!

Storyofcats · 13/04/2020 08:33

@musicposy @mumlurker @baroqueandblue Hope you guys are doing ok, it felt like a very long night Flowers

Tangledyarn · 13/04/2020 08:35

^sorry this was me and my stupid other user name. Maybe I could msg mnhq about this today as a realistic goal Grin

kevintheorangecarrot · 13/04/2020 08:35

Good morning everyone. I'm still in bed and my headache has gone for now. I guzzled about 1L of water before I went to bed, woke up around 4AM needing the loo lol. I'm just hoping my pounding headache was dehydration and because I felt like I had a fever despite my thermometer showing less than 37c (both thermometers!) I also took 2 more paracetamols yesterday due to my splitting headache, not so much because I felt fever-ish.

Also my anxiety has kicked in this morning too :( I'm just so worried about it what today will bring. I still can't believe that this is lasting so long. The fact I already suffered breathless-ness I thought it was over but nope! I am also very, very tired as well. I have a child though so I've got no choice but to get up... otherwise I'd definitely stay in bed and just sleep.

WorriesomeDad · 13/04/2020 08:39

Really starting to struggle a bit with the uncertainty and anxiety surrounding lack of recovery. My energy levels are ok and oxygen saturation has stayed good throughout but still getting shortness of breath, palpitations, painful back of throat and a more pervasive feeling of general unease. Now Day 32 since onset of first symptoms and just feel utterly worn down by the whole thing. Mentally finding things a bit difficult now.

I can’t find a thing online about such protracted symptoms, anyone else? Are there folks from earlier lungs threads who’ve had protracted symptoms who’ve now made a full recovery? It would be amazingly reassuring to hear from them if so!

stayathomegardener · 13/04/2020 08:40

@godhelpusall I've had several dips, days 10-14, early 20's and then late 20's early 30's. I guess it's more a pattern of improvement and then a regression.

Early on this was definitely triggered by thinking I was well and jumping back in to life.

But now I have The Fear and can confidently say the last dip was not related to overdoing anything.

100% sure it's the viral pattern.

Returning symptoms; temperature/chills, broken sleep, fatigue, chest pain/burning.

But no return of flu like symptoms like aching/headaches, sore throat, no appetite.

@longshot I'm smiling that I've caught you up over the 5 weeks, am sure I started 2 days behind. Must be day 32 for me.

@WorriesomeDad definitely had two graduates on this thread.

I tagged them half way through. Came back to update, going on bike rides, back to normal.

Very positive reads.

Good morning all
Day 29 I had that pattern of broken sleep last night plus feeling a bit clammy and having a dry itchy throat. Feel a bit tired today bit generally ok. The anxiety always seems to come on in the evening as I experience the dip very strange Hope everyone will have a better day

Standrewsschool · 13/04/2020 08:56

Day 29, cautiously can report that I had another reasonable day yesterday, although I didn’t really do anything strenuous. Had bad nights sleep, so feel tired today (and slightly headachey) so hope that doesn’t set me back. However, it feels like normal tiredness, rather than crushing fatigue.

That’s a week of feeling better, with no temperature, and only the mildest symptoms of slight dry throat or indigestion, which in days gone past you wouldn’t think to worry about.

However, live with The Fear of a relapse.

Standrewsschool · 13/04/2020 08:58

Realised yesterday that I’ve completely gone of alcohol also. Usually always enjoy a glass of wine with my Sunday roast, but had a J20 yesterday.

mumlurker · 13/04/2020 09:00

Morning all. Feeling ok but very anxious this morning. This thing seems to be really going for my stomach at the moment. Is anyone getting gastric pain?

I feel a bit dispairing to be honest - I know it's up and down but I'm definitely having a day where I feel like I'll b stuck like this forever.

Casino218 · 13/04/2020 09:02

My bra has gone back on after about 2 weeks. Couldn't wear it because of chest pain etc. Does that count as a recovery? I think I'm day 35.

WorriesomeDad · 13/04/2020 09:03

I know exactly what you mean @mumlurker!

WorriesomeDad · 13/04/2020 09:06

Yeah I think that was @TheWooisStrong and maybe @findingschools4myboys? Hope they are both still doing well. Anyone else?!

TheDrsWife46 · 13/04/2020 09:07

Morning everyone, after a really bad night coughing i managed a full nights sleep from about 1.30am. I utilised my BUPA app last night, never ever used the plan that DH gets through work but a GP phoned me back and prescribed amoxycillin as a precaution against secondary infection. So this is day 22 and going to hopefully start antibiotics. I doubt they’ll change anything but at least I know im trying anything available to me.

Casino218 · 13/04/2020 09:15

@TheDrsWife46 hi can those GPS actually prescribe because just looked on our simply health plan and no indication they can prescribe- it says advice, reassurance, diagnosis and referrals.

Moodgie · 13/04/2020 09:15

Hi all, day 38/39 here, lots of ups and downs.
Current symptom coming and going is mainly the breathlessness - mainly manifesting itself as a feeling in my trachea as if I’m breathing through something. Talked to my mum last night and got breathless too, with trying to catch breath. Also headachy at the moment. Also night sweats for about a week now (but so have had a period in the middle so it might be hormonal, I have had times of night sweats before).
It is the breathing that’s the biggest thing for me. Anyone else similar?

Casino218 · 13/04/2020 09:20

Well my GP is actually shite. They are not taking any calls re Covid!

godhelpusall · 13/04/2020 09:26

@Moodgie have you had the breathlessness all the way through? My anxiety is because I can feel fine for a while, then suddenly get a sore throat or return of chest pain or slight chills or night sweats which reminds me it's not completely gone. I then worry that it's going to get worse again.
@Casino218 bra on sounds like progress!
@TheDrsWife46 good news on the antibiotics. I have paid for full blood count privately which should come tomorrow. Not sure why except I'm desperate for something!

Needsomegoodnews · 13/04/2020 09:26

Has anyone had success with late phase antibiotics? I’ve seen a few have had them prescribed ( @TheDrsWife46 good that you’ve got some too now) I’ve spoken to a GP this morning (day 28) and since my temp has come back up he’s prescribed doxycycline. I guess it’s worth a try? He also said he’d advise a chest X-ray if that doesn’t help after 5 days. It was good to speak to someone who at least wants to try to do something. He also seemed to think the hospital was working on an antibody test, which he was going to find out how accurate it is.

Thinking of you all in the ongoing frustrating limbo!

Casino218 · 13/04/2020 09:28

Trying to get antibiotics for husband but GP adopted a closed door policy!!

onlinelinda · 13/04/2020 09:30

Day 30.

I feel ok again this morning so far. That's the 4th day I've felt ok, although still lacking in stamina. I'm still on the single antibiotic.

I'm sorry some of you are still having a difficult time, and I think it's worse with no sleep.

For those who feel the need for calm in the middle of the night, you could try the free version of the Headspace app. I'd recommend it anyway. It's a relaxation/mindfulness tool.

@stayathomegardener I'm angry about that too, and I don't think it's irrational.

Moodgie · 13/04/2020 09:31

@godhelpusall Yes, my main symptom has been breathlessness. I haven’t had any fever or cough (maybe a very slight one at some point in the second week).
