Just want to let you who know my journey know that I am still doing well! I think I am pretty much back to normal! Did another long cycle with one of my boys on my bike again today - and up some steep hills so puffing and panting! No needing to catch my breath.
Day 32 I believe.
6 days ago I could barely walk without catching my breath, now cycling up hills!
Keep the faith everyone!

everythingisginandroses · 11/04/2020 22:01

I would like to know that too, @onlinelinda. Is it our lungs doing...something? Confused

everythingisginandroses · 11/04/2020 22:02

@findingschools4myboys - great to hear you are match-fit again. I have been following your progress on and off through this and other threads, it's really encouraging Flowers

fedupofbed · 11/04/2020 22:05

@Tangledyarn and @longshot it was lovely to see friendly faces but I felt exhausted after about 10 minutes and also found it difficult to string a sentence together!

I'm also really conflicted with my children (who are going slightly feral through all this as my poor DH tries to look after them, me and his work). They pop in and see me a few times a day. I miss them so much but am equally exhausted by them. Is everyone still trying to isolate of sorts from family members? It seems a bit pointless after a month. I miss their cuddles! DH had mild symptoms a few weeks ago for about a week and 3 DC have had no symptoms.

Littleninja1 · 11/04/2020 22:07

@findingschools4myboys and @TheWooisStrong wonderful news! I'm so happy for you both Grin thanks for checking in and letting us know. Enjoy the rest of the sunny weekend!

@Tangledyarn and @longshot I just dropped out of a zoom call cause I couldn't manage it and came on to check Mumsnet and you've both said the same thing. I basically spent the call saying as little as possible and using hand signals. Too breathless for anything else! Hope your friends are supportive. Can't wait to be back to normal and chatting over with everyone Grin

Needsomegoodnews · 11/04/2020 22:12

@findingschools4myboys that’s awesome - and being about 6 days behind you with a temp yet again, I’ll keep fingers crossed that I might at least be able to go for a walk soon if not a cycle! Enjoy!

JackJackIncredible · 11/04/2020 22:16

@longshot

Could try one puff instead of 2? Or one puff, wait an hour and then the 2nd?

TheDrsWife46 · 11/04/2020 22:29

@findingschools4myboys what a brilliant update!! So so glad for you, did you go on to test the children with the test that you secured?

Absolutely brilliant to hear some good news stories coming through. The media is always ICU or asymptomatic people. Its so heartening to hear of people with a long journey openly saying that they now feel positively well. Flowers

onlinelinda · 11/04/2020 22:31

Great news @findingschools4myboys and @TheWooisStrong .

Nice. Great to hear so many positive updates. @findingschools4myboys as a keen cyclist your last post made me very happy!

Dorual · 11/04/2020 23:51

@EMichel102 and others with similar symptoms. I'm only on day 11 and suffering. But I was interested to read about your neuro symptoms. I've been having muscle twitches and uncontrollable hypnic jerks (like when you kick or hit out when falling aleep). This is worse at night for me but it even happens while awake, at rest. I'll be sitting there, and my leg will randomly flick out, or my head will jerk back. It's scary.

TheDrsWife46 · 11/04/2020 23:57

@Dorual @EMichel102 may not respond tonight as shes trying antihistamines etc to try to sleep. Ive had constant leg tremors and twitches but I know she has had significant jolts etc as you describe and a feeling of constant buzzing that she finds worse at night. She’ll be back in the morning but I didnt want you to go unanswered this late when i know shes trying a sedative to sleep through the unpleasant nerve type symptoms.

OneDayAtATime123 · 12/04/2020 01:46

@findingschools4myboys and @TheWooisStrong . Thanks for posting. Please keep the positive news coming. There is LIGHT at the end of the tunnel

EMichel102 · 12/04/2020 06:04

@Dorual yes I still get the neurological stuff with random muscle twitches and body tremors. My father is a neurologist and didn’t seem too concerned about them and said it’s likely body being stressed and fatigued. I’ve gotten magnesium supplements that might help I’m hoping.

Standrewsschool · 12/04/2020 07:59

Day 28 - cautiously posting that I had another reasonable day yesterday. Did some weeding, then swept the drive. That was quite dusty so stopped, as didn’t want to start coughing from the dust. Sat in the garden in the sunshine and read in the afternoon. I did come over tired mid-afternoon, but it wasn’t the crushing fatigue like before.

Still have a slight cough, but they did say that could linger.

kevintheorangecarrot · 12/04/2020 08:08

woken up feeling hot. Temp 36.5c underarm... which is apparently normal? Yet I feel like I'm burning up! Chest is hot, back isn't too bad. My throat is bloody hurting as well. Feels like it's been burned off and got raw skin at the back of my throat. I'm honestly not sure whether something is happening or my indigestion and heartburn caused it to be sore. I am so fed up of this (I'm sure we all are). My anxiety is all over the place too. One min I'm absolutely fine and don't care whether I live or die, the next I'm petrified of dying and I am thinking about my childhood and all the good things I did before I got depression and anxiety. I had a good life, no doubt about that. I just shouldn't be thinking about this at almost 30 years old Sad

kevintheorangecarrot · 12/04/2020 08:10

D25 by the way.

For a week around day 5-6, I had shortness of breath. Before that I had a sore throat, but no temperature apart from one night where I did have it. Then it went away after about 10days, I had 2-3 brilliant days where I had energy and felt like I was on the mend. But now I am feeling worse. Headache as well :( I am reluctant to take any paracetamol. Does anyone find if they take it, they feel much better in themselves? Hope you're all taking care and recovering quickly as poss x

Dorual · 12/04/2020 08:12

Thank you @TheDrsWife46 and @EMichel102. It helps to know I'm not alone. Woken up nauseous with headache again, and twitchy legs. There's a long road ahead Sad

Tangledyarn · 12/04/2020 08:22

@dorul Yeah I'm having a lot of strong body buzzing, twitchy muscles etc. Really horrible. The buzzing makes it really hard to sleep. I think it's just my nervous system trying to recover and dealing with the stress if the virus etc.

Tangledyarn · 12/04/2020 08:27

@kevintheorangecarrot Its really horrible. I'd take the paracetamol not going to do any harm, it helps me a bit. I think once you are past day 20 you are safe from dying but that doesn't mean it doesnt feel awful. I'm on day 36 and its very hard to keep positive xx

Egghead68 · 12/04/2020 08:28

Day 23ish. Did 5 laps of my galley kitchen and now exhausted and lying down. I really hope this doesn’t last another three weeks. Losing hope I will ever feel normal again.

Bornlazy · 12/04/2020 08:29

Hello everyone hope it’s ok to join in as I dipped in and out of the other threads. So sorry to see so many of you still unwell.

I am on day 30 (I think) and thoroughly miserable. I am due back at work next week (front line nurse) and, given that I will be busy and on my feet all day, I decided I needed to try and rebuild my strength. I also was worried that I was beginning to become a bit fixated on my symptoms and possibly slightly depressed so on Monday I started going for walks with my dh. The first walk was terrible and my legs were like jelly even though I was only out for 20 minutes but the next was a bit easier and so on. I still had some symptoms but felt I was getting somewhere until Friday when I noticed my rib pain and cough we’re getting worse, so I still went my walk but listened to my body and made it shorter as I thought at one point I was going to faint. It was the same yesterday and I have gone back to falling asleep in the afternoon and feeling absolutely shit again.

What the hell is going on? I need to go back to work, I haven’t even been tested as it hadn’t started with NHS workers at that point, and I’m worried that I might not even have it and then if I come in contact with a positive patient I will take it on top of this and it will kill me. Realistically I think/hope that I have had CV as I’ve had so many symptoms and 111 told me over the phone that I did and gave me antibiotics for a possible secondary bacterial infection. They finished over a week ago and I don’t think they did anything much but I took them anyway.

I feel the virus must still be there, lying dormant, and that it flares up intermittently bringing all the symptoms back but just not as bad as the first cycles. Last night I had a cough, terrible left sided rib and lung pain along the outside of rib cage, fatigue, sweats, horrendous heartburn and deep aches in my legs/joints. I just don’t know what to do anymore. I am trying not to let this mentally overwhelm me but it’s so difficult.

@EMichel102 I have always had the horrible feeling when I’m sleeping of pronouncing heartbeat and fluttering in my chest. It reminds me of the feeling you get when you dream you’ve fallen off a cliff and wake up with a start.
