@everythingisginandroses Welcome - yes totally get the heart/chest working hard when resting.. don't think it is pyschosomatic as the first time I had it was when everything else had cleared up and I had started feeling really well. Was sent to hospital when this happened and pleasingly tests showed everything fine apart from some pleurisy. Feeling still comes and goes very few days at completely random times. Later had antibiotics because pleuritic pain got worse and possible secondary infection. Hope you feel better soon.

@eyebrowsofinstagram Interesting about the exercise. I started building my exercise really gradually over 10 days after symptoms subsided but then when had done my hardest run for a long time, the following day all chest symptoms returned so have put myself back on very gentle walks only again (I hate it but all in good time). Also I was given antibiotics for secondary infection with no temperature so maybe worth getting checked out with GP. Hang in there!

TheWooisStrong · 11/04/2020 18:55

Today has been a good day. Solo exercise, 30min walk in the cool first thing. Then the rest of the day sat sipping cider in the sun and reading. Cough has gone and I feel pretty much back to normal, bar slightly reduced lung function.
Hoping I can permanently sign out of this thread now - get well wishes to the rest of you.

eyebrowsofinstagram · 11/04/2020 18:58

Thanks @ChippedPotatoesLloyd I do wonder about secondary infection as my temperatures were coming out of nowhere.

Just spoke to out of hours GP who recommended these breathing exercises m.youtube.com/watch?v=bBkGDIeQwXo

Are these the ones people were talking about up thread?

ChippedPotatoesLloyd · 11/04/2020 19:01

@TheWooisStrong

This is great news! How many days did it take you? I'll know I'm getting better when I can stomach a drink!

TheWooisStrong · 11/04/2020 19:27

I’m 4 weeks ish, I know I’m a day behind @longshot but I’ve lost exact count.

JackJackIncredible · 11/04/2020 19:41

I’m day 30 and feeling like my main issues are due to the secondary bacterial pneumonia. I’ve no longer got a pounding headache or intense muscle pains and my sense of smell has returned! I’m still weak though and suffering with the antibiotic side effects. :( my poor stomach!

WorriesomeDad · 11/04/2020 19:52

@TheWooisStrong that’s brilliant to hear. Sounds like a very nice day, you’ve certainly earnt it, enjoy!

TheDrsWife46 · 11/04/2020 19:52

@TheWooisStrong wow!!!!! I cannot wait til I feel like I can tolerate a drink that is properly great news. Wishing you the very best health going forwards. Flowers

WorriesomeDad · 11/04/2020 19:54

@JackJackIncredible sounds promising, really hope you are on the home run. Fingers crossed for you.

longshot · 11/04/2020 19:58

@TheWooisStrong I think I’m Day 32 today! It was you that had antibiotics and it made me think I should ask for them...I’ve been on them since Wednesday and they do seem to be helping. Very happy to read you’re on the mend!

Earlier I posted about racing heart / palpitations which I have had last night and this morning terribly. I spoke to my GP friend who has advised its highly likely its the salbutamol inhaler that caused that not the amoxicillin. I wanted to share this in case anyone else is using an inhaler and doesn’t normally as it could be affecting them in a similar way. I’m still not convinced it’s the salbutamol not the amoxicillin (or just the virus!) but I did have two puffs last night before going to bed so I think it’s very possible! Also se said it can last hours after you take it which it did for me.

onlinelinda · 11/04/2020 20:12

I would like to say that I have had a really, really good day! It improved as the day went on, and I did quite a few normal things around the house. I did have a day like this last Sunday, which was a false start, but I'm hopeful anyway.

longshot · 11/04/2020 20:28

@onlinelinda great news!! Long may it continue! What day is it for you?

Tangledyarn · 11/04/2020 20:32

@longshot I think its something to do with the recovery from the virus as its happening to me an awful lot too and have only been using symbicort . Also I'm sure I read an account online with someone else experiencing similar xx
@onlinelinda @TheWooisStrong Yay for better days Flowers

fedupofbed · 11/04/2020 21:14

@onlinelinda and @TheWooisStrong so glad you're both feeling better. It's really encouraging to read some good news.

I've had a bit of a relapse and not been able to even lift my head for most of the day. Yesterday I spent an hour lying in the garden and had a short Houseparty get together with friends. I'm wondering if doing even that much tipped me over the edge again.

Now the night is approaching I'm beginning to worry about my breathing again - but I know I'm not alone with this!

Onwards and upwards. It's really great when people update with good news.

JackJackIncredible · 11/04/2020 21:26

@longshot

Salbutamol is known for heart palpitations and fast heartbeat. I can’t recall, do you usually use it? I find it makes my heart fast and I’ve been using it for ages. It’s a common side effect and not fun!

Needsomegoodnews · 11/04/2020 21:37

Great to hear positive outcomes from @TheWooisStrong (even wanting a drink will be a good sign!) and @onlinelinda

@WorriesomeDad, @EMichel102 and @mumlurker - thanks for your comments that make me feel like I’m not just completely falling apart emotionally- this really is bloody hard. Sore throat, breathlessness and a low grade temp tonight. Fingers crossed it’ll pass soon. Hope you all have good nights.

longshot · 11/04/2020 21:39

@jackjackincredible - no I have never used it until last week! I won’t be using it again I don’t think or at least not before bed!

I hope I fair better tonight...!

@fedupofbed a zoom night with friends tipped me over the edge earlier this week! There was laughter and it didn’t help my chest. I’ve actually declined all zoom calls etc for now as I just can’t cope it’s crazy. I can just about manage a 10 chat on the phone that’s all. Luckily I am able to watch TV. I couldn’t even read a book earlier this week, when it got exciting my heart beat raised and I felt ill. It’s sounds insane I know but that’s what happened!

Tangledyarn · 11/04/2020 21:43

@fedupofbed Am really glad you have said that because I cant manage any zoom or long chats, I think people (other than my partner who is here with me) think I'm just being weird.

onlinelinda · 11/04/2020 21:48

@Longshot I am on day 28.

onlinelinda · 11/04/2020 21:50

I am getting that hot tingly back, but that doesn't seem to bother me. I see a few people have that- I've had it for a least a few days. I wonder what that means and why it's there?
