Just because he is in ICU does not mean he is necessarily on a ventilator!

Praying he pulls through.His poor family.

I was fearful of this happening. He looked really unwell and didn’t appear to want to admit he was ill either. It’s awful.

How awful. I wish him a speedy recovery but this sounds extremely worrying.

As much as I don't like him or his politics he is our Prime Minister and is a son, brother, partner and father with many people who love him. Nobody deserves this awful illness. Nobody. I am sure our wonderful NHS staff will be looking after him with every fibre of their being because that is what they do.

There probably aren't that many people who hate Boris more than I do. But i am honestly shocked that he is being moved to ICU, and I really hope he gets better. I feel so sorry for his kids and his partner and his future baby.

Fucking hell. I really hope he's okay. I hope this shocks certain people into realising how serious this is and they stay the fuck home.

Oh door here poor fiancé. Pregnant and I presume unable to be with him 🙁.

One of my friends who is an intensive care dr, said most families are happy when their relative gets moved into intestine care, as they think of good now x will get even more help......then she said, but what they don’t realise is, most people don’t make it out of intensive care 😰😰

The 'fake news' was the news earlier in the day from Russian media saying he was on a ventilator. Number 10 denied that.

This is new information from Downing Street.

Why could this be disastrous politically? Why would it bring the country to it's knees.

No disrespect to Boris. I've never liked him - but have liked the way he's dealt with CV and have missed him whilst he's been gone. He was reassuring and respectfully asked us to comply with every new rule.

However - he's just one of many. Yes he's the PM - but how many have been hospitalised? How many have died? Why would this one man dying bring the country to it's knees?

Ngl when the news came on right after EE I thought they were going to say he passed. I'm not a fan but I was scared for a second. Wishing him well!

Looking at the newsreader's face I thought he had died at first.

Now I understand why Raab was so shaky at the press conference this evening. It wasn't stage fright. He knew.

I felt sick when I read it too, really hoping he pulls through, and thinking of his family and friends, especially Carrie, the stress can't be good. How heartbreaking all around for everyone affected at any point in any way during this madness.

This has actually upset me much more than I thought it would. I feel it’s really important that he pulls through. It might break a lot of people psychologically if he doesn’t.
