God this is awful news, praying he pulls through along with all the others in the same situation.

I'll be honest this is actually the last straw for me!! 😐

FTSE confidence would tank if the PM died, the economy would likely spiral.

I do of course wish him the best. I would never wish harm on another person. But I also wish Tories would stop trying to silence those of us who want to speak up about this being a political issue. Just like we are called 'intolerant' if we are not tolerant of others intolerance. It's simply a way to silence opinions you do not want to hear.

I wonder if this will cause the large number of elderly people still 'popping out for their daily paper' that this is actually really serious and they need to stay home.
Boris is no more or less important than any other person in ICU but I absolutely hope he recovers.

You don't have to agree with anyone's politics/views to have some humanity. I really hope Boris recovers well, as I hope everyone who is ill does. I also hope he now reconsiders NHS funding and is ashamed of depriving hospitals, doctors, nurses and plenty of other keyworkers of vital funding to appease bankers/the wealthy but those two hopes are not mutually exclusive! You don't have to like someone to be able to wish them well.

Let us hope he is one of the statistics that make it out of ICU alive. Plenty do, and for many reasons I hope he is one of them. But it is worrying. The last thing we need now is a political crisis.

In the back of my mind I see him as a big naughty cheeky child, and that makes me feel so sorry for him and all around him. I can't explain it, but I can only wish him well.

According to Sky News their government source has told them he is not on a ventilator at present and he’s conscious. This is all positive. I hope his fiancé is OK too.

I am in the anti-Tory camp but wish no ill on him, his family must be very worried.

But I think it is unrealistic of people to say that it shouldn’t be commented on in a political way, of course it’s political, everything is. Of course people are going to point out the hypocrisy to differing degrees.

And while I’m at it, people are ‘literally’ breaking their hearts over this? Come on people, get it together!

This is just awful, I really really hope he pulls through. He must concentrate on himself right now, it just doesn't bear thinking about if he doesn't get better. I don't know him but I still want to have a good cry! It all has ramifications...

At this moment in time if you honestly can't say anything without the 'can't bear the man, funding for nhs or other political' then you really are something and should be ashamed.

I can't stand the man, but I wouldn't wish this on him, or his family.
