Oh Boris no 🙁

OP posts:
NerdImmunity · 06/04/2020 20:30

Really really wishing him all the best and hope he makes a recovery soon. His poor partner with being so pregnant and having just been isolated a week ago with suspected covid - it's a lot of stress for her and I feel Boris has really tried to keep a handle on his work this past week when he was clearly feeling hideous. Prayers with him and his family wishing him well

HairyFloppins · 06/04/2020 20:30

Poor Boris.

Get well bloody soon.

Hannsmum · 06/04/2020 20:31

This has made me so sad and so scared!!!

Mummyoflittledragon · 06/04/2020 20:31

I hope he recovers well and soon. I don’t like him at all but he’s a human being, parent and someone’s child.

nocoolnamesleft · 06/04/2020 20:31

I really, really don't like him. But we really need a functional government about now. It sounds from what has been released that he hasn't been ventilated yet (presumably on high levels of CPAP), but is at significant risk of needing it.

KeysDontBelongInTheFridge · 06/04/2020 20:31

@LockedInMadness I read in the guardian that they’ve done it as a precautionary manner incase he needs intensive care quickly

LockedInMadness · 06/04/2020 20:32

Lucky for him that they had a bed. What about the child who was ill on the floor in the summer in a and e

Yeah, not the time love Hmm

Notpanickingjustyet · 06/04/2020 20:32

On a human level, this is very sad (as it is for everyone) and I hope he gets better.

On a political level, this could be disastrous. I hope he recovers.

MrsWolf2 · 06/04/2020 20:32

Fuck me.

Unfortunately I believe it’s as a precaution as much as I believe he was admitted initially for routine investigations.

womanthatfelltoearth · 06/04/2020 20:32

This makes me want to cry. Not just for Boris but for the sheer scale of this pandemic and the impact it is having.

One of my colleagues lost her grandfather to this last week and her father (in his 50s) was in ICU for 2 days but is now much better.

Hope Boris gets better soon.

Mrsmadevans · 06/04/2020 20:32

They will do everything in their power to look after him, he will be on ECMO if they have to . He will be alright. Had time to think about it . He will be alright. He's in the right place . I just want to cry it's so awful

Rowgtfc72 · 06/04/2020 20:32

Not a Tory fan but this man is someones son, partner, father.
And hes really stepped up in this crisis.
Just goes to show the coronavirus is a great leveller across all society.
Wishing him well.

Crispsginchoc · 06/04/2020 20:32

This is awful news. The poor man. I really hope he can pull through.

Sosadandempty · 06/04/2020 20:32

Maybe he’s not ventilated yet.. It’s quite possible he won’t be. Not everyone in ICU is ventilated - Michael Rosen for example whom I think is back on a normal ward? Poorly but stable.

BurgerQuean · 06/04/2020 20:32

I honestly despise BJ and everything he and his party stand for but this has given me an overwhelming feeling of dread and anxiety. It will be terrible for the country if he dies.

Bearbehind · 06/04/2020 20:32

Lucky for him that they had a bed. What about the child who was ill on the floor in the summer in a and e?

liitlesweet are you getting a kick out of this?

Polly02 · 06/04/2020 20:32

*50/50 in Italy once ventilated

80% chance of dying if ventilated in UK*

Why is this LaurieFairyCake? Is this true?

lubeybooby · 06/04/2020 20:32

C'mon Boris

Onesipmore · 06/04/2020 20:33

To be honest it doesn't matter what you have read or what you have heard, or what your personal politics is - in this situation there is no point speculating, its just hope he pulls through.

OldUnit · 06/04/2020 20:33

@LittleSweet

Ok dear, now sit down and have a little breather. Biscuit

DavetheCat2001 · 06/04/2020 20:33

Hope this might shock some of the selfish a-holes who are still flouting the lockdown into actually doing what they are told...this makes it all far more real and frightening.

stoptherideiwanttogetoff · 06/04/2020 20:33

This is just awful, honesty you couldn't make this shit up!!!
