Oh Boris no 🙁

OP posts:
PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 07/04/2020 02:29

I can't sleep either. He's supposed to be the first ever PM to get married in office, not the first for a while at risk of dying in it! His poor fiancée too.

Fingers crossed that he begins to improve now he's in hospital, and his body can just concentrate on recovering with the right supportive treatment in place.

MGMidget · 07/04/2020 02:49

Boris, I sincerely hope you pull through. Your country needs you!

Tiredmumno1 · 07/04/2020 02:51

Come on Boris you can fight this 🙏

Your Family, Friends and Country need you 💗

LesLavandes · 07/04/2020 03:28

Come on Boris! We're all behind you and willing you to get better

Welcometothequiz · 07/04/2020 03:33

Awake here too, can't sleep at all since this all started but oh god this news takes us to a different level doesn't it.

A friend's brother was on a ventilator for 7 days with it up until last week, he is 63 and is recovering slowly so there can be good news.

BakedCam · 07/04/2020 03:34

Yes, come on son, you have this.

@NellGwynsPenguin

Pleased you've come through this awful virus. Must have been terrifying for you. How are you now? Do you feel back to your former self or are you still in recovery?

EvilPea · 07/04/2020 03:42

Mr. Trump himself has a small personal financial interest in Sanofi, the French drugmaker that makes Plaquenil, the brand-name version of hydroxychloroquine.

As reported in the NY times. No wonder he's pushing it hard.

pocketem · 07/04/2020 05:54

@EvilPea oh come on. That's a ridiculous conspiracy theory - not least because hydroxy chloroquine has been around for decades and the patent is long-expired - any company can make it and it is widely available as a generic

professorbean · 07/04/2020 05:58

Even if he recovers, the recovery will be long and we need to accept that he will not be leading us through this crisis anymore.

loobyloo1234 · 07/04/2020 06:13

Didn’t sleep well either. I am far from a Tory but I’ve found the shock of this quite upsetting. His poor children and his poor fiancé

NellGwynsPenguin · 07/04/2020 06:14

It’s a slow process @BakedCam thanks. The fatigue is something else. My whole family got it from me before I knew I had it.
The whole of March is a blur. We are all on the mend.

For all of the patients in icu tonight around the world, I’m thinking of you, and your families, not allowed to be by your side.
50% of them will never see their loved one again.

It’s so easy to catch this.
It’s so easy to spread it before you have symptoms.

Stay at home.
Wash your hands.
Be kind.

Inkpaperstars · 07/04/2020 06:46

BBC saying that sources close to the PM say no change in his condition overnight. He is still conscious and receiving oxygen.

kkkKarmaChameleon · 07/04/2020 06:52

God I'm tired. Hardly slept all night, checking news every hour. Busy day at work ahead.

stoptherideiwanttogetoff · 07/04/2020 07:07

It's really affected me, up by 4am and first thought if the day 'hope he's ok'. Such a worrying time. I'm really trying to hold it together and keep the news off the TV so the kids don't get too worried, truth is I'm scared for us all. Let's hope today brings better news!

daffodil1224 · 07/04/2020 07:10

First thought when I woke was Boris. I pray he's okay

JudyCoolibar · 07/04/2020 07:13

The child ill on the floor in a & e was a proven hoax.

Off the point, but no, it certainly wasn't. The hospital in question accepted it was true.

Back to the point: somehow this makes the massive seriousness of this virus ever more real. For his children's sake I hope Johnson recovers soon.

aut0replenish · 07/04/2020 07:28

Kkkkarma me too.Sad Just couldn’t sleep.

Before CV I was so angry with Boris over Brexit but I seriously don’t care about any of it now. I just want him and every other person fighting this in ICU to be home with their families.

joydivisionovengloves71 · 07/04/2020 07:31

Boris didn't choose Brexit, the voters did

midnightstar66 · 07/04/2020 07:32

I imagine this is precautionary. A huge number of people the statistics are based on will have been vented too late - they will be ensuring this isn't the case with Boris and will happen as soon as necessary. He there so there's no delay if that time comes

Dozer · 07/04/2020 07:34

It’s crass to post about politics here.

aut0replenish · 07/04/2020 07:41

I think it’s perfectly ok to highlight how this crisis transcends politics.

SomethingOnce · 07/04/2020 08:17

Woke up at 5:15am worrying about this.

Get well soon, Boris Flowers

PleasantVille · 07/04/2020 08:20

The BBC are reporting that he's not on a ventilator, I know they have to report what they are told but there doesn't seem to be any undertone that they don't believe this as there was about the reports on Sunday and Monday

Let's hope it's true

coachman · 07/04/2020 08:30

Michael Gove was interviewed by Nick Ferrari on LBC this morning. He said that the PM is not on a ventilator but had received oxygen.

Noodlenosefraggle · 07/04/2020 08:30

and why then is fucking dick head trump only sneding this drug now.is the rest of our contry ddying not worthy?
The US has the highest death rate in the world from this. I bet him offering up his best doctors has gone down well in New York and New Orleans! Idiot!
