Oh Boris no 🙁

OP posts:
pocketem · 07/04/2020 00:00

"four companies” President was referring to appear to be four biotech companies he was on a call with earlier... so 2 of these then:

Robert Bradway, CEO, Amgen
Alexander Hardy, CEO, Genetech
Daniel O’Day, CEO, Gilead
Leonard Schleifer, CEO, Regeneron

MarshaBradyo · 07/04/2020 00:00

But also usually larger all round! So people seem littler irl.

kissmelittleass · 07/04/2020 00:05

This has really upset me poor Boris I will pray for him tonight 🙏🏻 god bless him

WaktiWapnasi · 07/04/2020 00:05

Trump is a consummate bullshitter. I wouldn't hold out on anything he says.

I have a terrible feeling Boris is going to be on a ventilator by morning, if he isnt already. I hope I'm wrong.

Poor Carrie, what a hideously stressful thing to have to deal with when pregnant.

Downunderduchess · 07/04/2020 00:07

Just woken up to this news here in Sydney. Sending good thoughts & wishes for a speedy recovery for your PM. It’s a difficult time right now & this must make it so much scarier. Stay home and stay safe xx

starlightgazers · 07/04/2020 00:08

Everyone looks taller on telly

I've only ever met one other famous person and she was tiny so think you're right!

TurquoiseDress · 07/04/2020 00:10

@SomethingOnce

Yes me too, can't stop reading on here & BBC website

starlightgazers · 07/04/2020 00:13

TBH I' a little surprised at how shocked and surprised people seem to be about Boris. He clearly had quite a few risk factors for developing serious illness, he looked extremely ill and his continued illness after 7 days was also a big red flag.

Maybe it's become more 'real' to people now that this can happen to anyone, including the well known?

starlightgazers · 07/04/2020 00:15

It's unlikely to progress massively over the next couple of days.

doubleshotespresso · 07/04/2020 00:15

@starlightgazers
Something very much out of the ordinary most definitely

Yes very much out of the ordinary, I am frequently awake through the middle of the night, due to DC and never has the volume of military helicopters been this great (we are very close to a base)and yes earlier this evening yet more of these and other normal helicopters. Which has not happened in the whole time we have lived here. So yes out of the ordinary

Yes, it's called a pandemic. Stop with the conspiracy shite.
Quite obviously aware of this dear, don't patronise me with your supercilious cr**py comments, this was merely responding to another previous poster, who obviously observed the same real thing, you know as folks on an internet forum generally do. FFS

SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe · 07/04/2020 00:20

I like Boris. Really upset to hear he is in such a bad way.

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 07/04/2020 00:24

Having it myself and having read the burning lungs thread, still being ill after 7 days falls within the norm. It seems many people develop breathing problems around day 6 onwards and you can appear to be recovering until then. It ebbs and flows in waves.

I hope he pulls through.

EugenesAxe · 07/04/2020 00:27

Was just watching BBC 24h News and a 'broadcaster' being interviewed on that was being very matter of fact with the possibility of death - quoting the 50% chance of survival once on a ventilator, and musing over how that statistic stood up with 'men in their 50s'. It was pretty blunt, to be honest.

I think Boris tried to carry on as normal too much instead of resting, at the beginning. I really hope he gets through it; I couldn't help thinking about the number of people who were piqued by his words about 'some of us will lose loved ones'. It would be awful if they foreshadowed his own family's experience.

starlightgazers · 07/04/2020 00:27

never has the volume of military helicopters been this great

Ok, but I still don't get why the above would surprise you given that we are in the middle of a national emergency?

GreytExpectations · 07/04/2020 00:29

Why do so many of you have the preface your posts with "I don't like him" or "I didn't vote tory"? Your political view is irrelevant when our PM, a son, father and partner, is in critical condition during a global pandemic. You all should be fucking ashamed of yourselves for brining personal opinions/politics into it.

I wish him a full recovery but am very worried for him.

starlightgazers · 07/04/2020 00:33

You all should be fucking ashamed of yourselves for brining personal opinions/politics into it

More virtue signalling, just what we all need. Perhaps people preface it with that as they don't want to sound or be accused of hypocrisy, especially if they have criticised him in the past?

SomethingOnce · 07/04/2020 00:33

I think Boris tried to carry on as normal too much instead of resting, at the beginning.

In his position, anyone would.

A PM in a time of impending national crisis is hardly going to go “Oh look, 8pm, time for cocoa and a solid eight of beauty sleep.”

Whatever one’s politics, I think it’s clear Boris is quite fond of this country and has done his best.

VaukaPinvhin · 07/04/2020 00:39

I couldn’t believe Trumps address earlier. Like he’s spoken personally to Boris’s doctors and arranged to have just the drug that will cure him couriered to St Mary’s 🙄. Saint Trump of Trumpton, Saviour and man of the hour. Total twat.

UYScuti · 07/04/2020 00:40

He is doughty!!
come on Boris
💙🙏💙

starlightgazers · 07/04/2020 00:43

Like he’s spoken personally to Boris’s doctors and arranged to have just the drug that will cure him couriered to St Mary’s

I know! What an arrogant twat to think the medical staff would be falling over themselves to give him a drug recommended by St Trump the fucking expert. Dickhead!

ajandjjmum · 07/04/2020 00:44

I suppose if he's being trying to work long days while fighting the illness, it won't have done him any good. Really hope he pulls through - for those who love him, and also for the country.

GatoradeMeBitch · 07/04/2020 00:46

His poor fiancee. She must be worried sick about him and about her own health right now.

UYScuti · 07/04/2020 00:47

Trump has now taken the role of 'mad drunk elderly uncle'

doubleshotespresso · 07/04/2020 00:51

@stargazer never said I was surprised no.
I stated there's been a real change in the past few days, in response/agreement with the previous poster who said they were unsure.
Hope this helps ?!
Jesus Christ a man is facing a most horrific battle and you're nitpicking at nonsense- just why? It's blindingly clear what the points made meant

TheCatBar · 07/04/2020 00:53

Don't worry everyone, St Trump to the rescue Hmm
He's like a dystopian Lord Flashheart 😱
