@DuLANGDuLANGDuLANG that’s a brilliant interview. The interviewer asked such good questions and the doctor so clear and articulate. Thanks for posting it

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 06/04/2020 22:44

Westminster are clearly looking to downplay this for understandable reasons, but most people know ICU is hardly a 'preventative' measure. A temperature that won't come down after this duration is worrying enough on its own, and that's without the hospitalisation and the evasive statements that he's 'receiving excellent care'. I don't have a good feeling about Boris Johnson. No matter what my personal politics, I'm rooting for his swiftest possible recovery and feel greatly for his pregnant girlfriend who now faces the real prospect that their child may never know his or her father. The whole story is truly shocking and sad.

Daisiest · 06/04/2020 22:45

Come on Boris, we are all with you on this.

Scruffyoak · 06/04/2020 22:45

It really is unsettling.

bedroomcushions · 06/04/2020 22:45

Wishing Boris and everyone with this shitty disease all the best xxx scared for my parents and my disabled son

KimchiLaLa · 06/04/2020 22:46

I’ve counted, I think, four helicopters going over my bit of south London in a very short space of time. It’s making me feel something is not good.

What is your bit??

Oakmaiden · 06/04/2020 22:46

Just because overall people who are ill enough to require ICU have a 50/50 chance, that doesn't mean that everybody within the ICU has a 50/50 chance. Some people will be iller than others, or have conditions which make it harder for them to recover/so may have an 80/20 chance, while others may have a 20/80 chance.

Statistics are like that. They work for a group, but not for an individual.

alloutoffucks · 06/04/2020 22:47

Apparently Russian news were reporting yesterday that Boris was on a ventilator.

unique1986 · 06/04/2020 22:47

It sounds like being on a ventilator is worse than being in a coma.

EmpressMcSchnozzle · 06/04/2020 22:47

I dislike the man intensely, but that doesn't mean I wish him ill or any unnecessary suffering. Let's hope he pulls through.

MigginsMrs · 06/04/2020 22:48

I hope so much he pulls through. This is awful news.

starlightgazers · 06/04/2020 22:48

If anything, surely that would be related to the extra security needed? (Either that or the twatty press who probably can't get near the hospital atm)

Noideareally2 · 06/04/2020 22:48

Helicopters will be the media going nuts over it, that's all

NotSusanna · 06/04/2020 22:49

@DuLANGDuLANGDuLANG Thank you for posting the video. It comforted me.

Portulaca · 06/04/2020 22:50

For those of you that insist on making this sad news an opportunity to score political points: you’re not just a bunch of thunder cunts but also blatantly people without a shred of human decency.

This. Agreed. Have responded similarly on Twitter to people trying to score political points. He is a human being who is very ill. No politics. Not appropriate. Get well soon Boris.

Scruffyoak · 06/04/2020 22:51

Politics didnt even cross my mind. It's awful regardless

OldUnit · 06/04/2020 22:52

I agree helicopters will be media.

Darbs76 · 06/04/2020 22:52

When it comes to a situation like this there is no better care than the NHS. I’ve been in a private hospital once for a surgery, got transferred to NHS hospital as they didn’t have a CT scanner. It was after that I looked more into it and realised it was fairly risky have surgery in a private hospital - if it goes wrong you’re in the wrong place.

There is no magic drug for Boris or the Queen. They have the same treatment as the rest of us once admitted. Boris will get the same treatment as anyone else in ICU at St Thomas with CV. Wishing Boris a full recovery. This isn’t a time for politics and it’s good to see the vast majority of people are putting that aside and just want our PM to recover. We need you Boris, but we also need you well. Time to let your team take over and concentrate on your health

Willyoujustbequiet · 06/04/2020 22:54

The tories and their relentless destruction of the NHS and the welfare system in pursuit of their ideology has resulted in the deaths of countless souls. The hypocrisy of them clapping is hard to stomach.

Nevertheless, I wish Boris a speedy recovery and my thoughts are with his family at this awful time. I really hope he pulls through.

KimchiLaLa · 06/04/2020 22:55

Sky have managed to get hold of some random info, I assume as their anchor got it, that he is not, but he did need some oxygen assistance. He is conscious, and if he was on a ventilator, they say, he wouldn't be

OldUnit · 06/04/2020 22:56

Let's not forget Russia also said Coronavirus originated in the UK as a chemical weapon. Ok then! Biscuit

alloutoffucks · 06/04/2020 22:57

@KimchiLaLa I dont beliebe that. He is in ICU because he needs to be on a ventilator.
And all along Downing Street have underplayed how ill he is.

LEELULUMPKIN · 06/04/2020 22:58

Can I have a refund on 2020 so far? We are only in April and so many awful things have happened.

Get well soon Boris, your family and country needs you.

alloutoffucks · 06/04/2020 22:59

@OldUnit I did not say the Russian news was correct, but it is now being said he is intensive care. So the Russian news may be correct. We don't know.
