Oh Boris no 🙁

OP posts:
MrsKingfisher · 06/04/2020 20:49

Is it so hard for some to just wish a person well you know human to human instead of the 'I don't like him but, I didn't vote for him but'

No one cares if you like or dislike him or his policies just wish the man well ffs.

Eggcited · 06/04/2020 20:50

He's the PM so he'll be receiving far better care than your average joes do.

He'll be getting the same care as many others, there's no special treatment to sort this.

Holothane · 06/04/2020 20:50

This is shocking please no.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 06/04/2020 20:50

This is desperate - just as it is for anyone and their family in this situation. Wishing him as quick a recovery as possible.

Anyone trying to make political capital out of this should really give their heads a wobble. Quite despicable

Bool · 06/04/2020 20:50

Come on Boris. You can beat this virus. I agree if Boris doesn’t make it a lot of people will suffer mentally.

DewDropsonKittens · 06/04/2020 20:51

Jesus, I am really shocked by this.

It is a genuinely sad, awakening moment for us all.

Regardless of politics, how bad or how good the government are handling things.

This shows that our situation is in freefall the virus is indiscriminate and we need to all play our part.

Get well soon Boris.

Samtsirch · 06/04/2020 20:51

@LittleSweet ‘s not coming across so sweet now.
Hopefully something learned.
Thoughts and prayers to Boris and his family.

PineappleDanish · 06/04/2020 20:51

ICU is not the same as being on a ventilator.

Hope he turns the corner and starts to feel better soon.

Noworrieshere · 06/04/2020 20:51

We really are living through momentous times. You couldn't make this up.

Get well soon Boris, you're not my favourite politician but you don't deserve this. Saying a prayer tonight as always for Boris and for everyone who is suffering.

Tonyaster · 06/04/2020 20:51

ChrissieKeller6

A father and human being might die and the only thing that affects you is imagining someone thinking you aren't intelligent? That's called narcissism mate.

1981m · 06/04/2020 20:51

Hope he pulls through. Quite ironic he's got it. Definitely not following social distancing procedures though from footage in parliament, yet telling others to.

I wonder who else he's spread it to. He could spread it to his top team.

EightNineTen · 06/04/2020 20:51

Our PM is someone who runs hard at life, he's not a careful person. Christ, I've hated the Tories lately, but if he doesn't recover it'll be a tragedy.

I think despite what is being said his condition is obviously worsening to a worrying degree. It wouldn't surprise me if by the time he was hospitalised he was a lot worse than he let on, his bluster covering it up.

He's been really bloody daft not distancing from the start. I think with him, Charles, and the death of Bath, certain parts of society are realising that this virus comes for all of us.

Yesterdayforgotten · 06/04/2020 20:51

Horrendous for him and his family; hope he recovers. Flowers

UYScuti · 06/04/2020 20:52

Come on Borris!!

Iateallthecookies000 · 06/04/2020 20:52

He’s going to be a father, I don’t particularly like him but I still hope he gets well soon.

Let’s not lose our humanity.

sunandrose · 06/04/2020 20:52

Poor Boris. He’s been incredible through this. I really hope he pulls through...
So sad that he’s got a baby on the way too

Leflic · 06/04/2020 20:52

Yeah,I really hope he pulls through. He’s a son, brother, dad, and fiancé as well as being Prime Minister.
If you thought Boris wasn’t doing a good job as PM all I can say is be careful what you wish for.

Panpastels · 06/04/2020 20:52

This is very scary. He's grown on me recently I will admit. Hope he pulls through.

LoopyLouLouLou · 06/04/2020 20:52

I do hope he makes a speedy recovery. Whatever people think he’s still a person with family/friends and expecting a child.

Get well soon Boris, we are all thinking of you

Schuyler · 06/04/2020 20:52

@PipGirl404

“He's the PM so he'll be receiving far better care than your average joes do.”

Care in NHS ICU tends to be absolutely excellent quality regardless. Your comment is ridiculous. Have you ever been in ICU? The nursing ratios are high, care is attentive.

HellToupee · 06/04/2020 20:52

Jesus wept. I so hope he beats the odds on this one and has a speedy recovery.

For those of you that insist on making this sad news an opportunity to score political points: you’re not just a bunch of thunder cunts but also blatantly people without a shred of human decency.

Racheyg · 06/04/2020 20:53

My sister is working on the icu unit at st Thomas hospital although not on shift now.

The lack of staff means that normally in icu it's 1:1 at the moment I think it's 1:6 with 2 back up staff. They are really stretched.

Normally if you are in icu you are sedated and ventilated.

Bitofeverything · 06/04/2020 20:53

The poor man, and his poor family. If he ends up on a ventilator, I don’t think he can stay on as PM. It takes months to recover from that. Even if he survives, he will be physically wrecked by it for a long time. Shocking.

chomalungma · 06/04/2020 20:53

Hope he pulls through.

Frouby · 06/04/2020 20:53

Jesus its so scary now.

Really hope he pulls through for many reasons. Not least cos his family love hkm and his children and his girlfriend need him. The country needs him. If he beats this whatever he says will go, he will benthe very best person to lead us through this crisis as he will be a survivor and not a bystander.

My fil is 74 and had 2 strokes. Currently in hospital, recovering from CV, kicking off to come home because he feels much better. If fil can beat it so can Boris. Come on Boris. We need you.
