@longshot

Just to say I also had blood in snot.

@Demenace Yes... still had bouts of low grade fever in week 3

I felt hot in my head and cheeks flushed. Would take my temp and it was usually hovering around 37.8 a lot.

Casino218 · 08/04/2020 19:49

Day 31 and DH and I still getting chest pain. Is anyone past this point and found it's resolved?

Demenace · 08/04/2020 19:49

@FrameyMcFrame

Thanks very helpful. I don’t feel worse - but was worried.

Crayfishforyou · 08/04/2020 19:49

TheDrsWife46
I am much calmer today. I'm either accepting of where I am more or I am actually getting better.
I've found the waves of anxiety that seem to be a part of this virus so hard to deal with.
Crafting is definitely helpful. I can't concentrate on reading or actively do anything, but keeping my hands busy is a must.

onlinelinda · 08/04/2020 19:56

I'm sorry so many if you are feeling desperate and miserable. I really am. I'm feeling fed up myself and have felt freezing cold since last night.

But, for all of us,

This Too Shall Pass.

kevintheorangecarrot · 08/04/2020 20:02

Hi all. So I had about a week where I felt absolutely fine. No longer had tight chest or shortness of breath and sore throat gone too. But now I've got very sore throat, feeling very tired and heavy headed Sad not feeling 'right'. Also had some niggling pains in between my shoulders as well and burning sensation is in my throat and chest. I had this before I ended up getting short of breath for over a week! I thought I was over it. Feel like shit just now.

AutumnNymph · 08/04/2020 20:14

After an okay day I seem to have nosedived as well
@Mummadeeze Am on day 5 as well and feel similar to what you described, Hope it gets better tomorrow

I feel heaviness in my limbs and my headache is must worse. My peak flow is okay. I feel so exhausted - just walking to the bathroom makes me light headed.

TheDrsWife46 · 08/04/2020 20:14

@frugalkitty that actually made me cry. Ive had the worst two weeks of my life and its made me so sad (and strangely happy) that this thread has kept me going. Someone early commented that this thread isnt support its more people listing symptoms.

What i will say is that those symptoms listed by us all day by day are literally the only information we each have to go on.

This is the only place I can share my symptoms without “arent you well yet?” “How do you know unless you’ve been tested?” “I think its just anxiety”

Thankyou to each and every person who has contributed their symptoms. For every person who logs something new then its another string tomour bow, to be forearmed with information that helps stave off anxiety. And for me that is significantly supportive.

I hate hate hate every time I log in and see people day after day still struggling. But for everyone on here that still need reassurance like @Tangledyarn @longshot there are others like @Casino218 and @babdoc who post their good news stories.

Others like @stayathomegardener and @SchrodingersKitty @Isadora2007 @DandyPeguin had other health issues that affect how they are experiencing Covid in their lives.

Thank you to all you, and anyone else that I haven't name checked. Without this thread I think I would have reached desperation and been too frightened to seek help. This has genuinely been the worst time of my life, I have never felt so poorly or so frightened in my life. And the scoffing and ridicule Ive had from those close to me hasnt helped. If I genuinely could meet you all I’d give you such hugs in time. I could turn out to have a negative bloody Covid test, but that isnt what counts. What has mattered, is that in the middle of a pandemic, when the health service has shifted to prioritising cases, it is the kindness of strangers that has held my hand in the darkest of moments.

@TheDrsWife46 lovely words. Take care x

Tangledyarn · 08/04/2020 20:18

@TheDrsWife46 That's lovely and thankyou. I agree most frightening and unwell I've ever been, still trying to just get through each hour but so pleased I'm not alone xx

FrameyMcFrame · 08/04/2020 20:19

@kevintheorangecarrot
Don't worry, it won't necessarily come back as bad as that.

What I've found is this thing comes and goes so much. I thought I was completely better twice.

EMichel102 · 08/04/2020 20:29

Hang in there everyone. Sounds like tonight is a particularly tough one for many of us. I started to get the shakes tonight in bed (no temperature) for the first time in 1.5-2 weeks and am so upset. I don’t know what it means but brings back very bad memories of awful nights. Anyone else get these back again after a period? @onlinelinda when you say you’re cold did you get the shakes?

TheDrsWife46 · 08/04/2020 20:29

And @EMichel102 for pm’ing me 💕

simplekindoflife · 08/04/2020 20:31

Thanks for those words @TheDrsWife46 Thanks

I'm feeling very depressed this evening. I was saying to my DH that I feel like a dementor (from Harry Potter) has sucked any good feeling out of me. I can't focus on anything or think straight, I feel so ill tonight. I can't stop crying.

But we have to get through this, and keep battling on. I'm really trying to stay strong!

Meercatmama · 08/04/2020 20:31

A quick update just picked husband from hospital; they did a blood test x rayed his lungs and another 2 ECGs They said his lungs were clear and his heart ok to keep on taking the paracetamol and to drink as much as he can. He said the staff were lovely and efficient but could not tell him what he had was covid as they do not test. He seems much brighter tonight now he is back He is hungry and very thirsty again Thank you all for the support You have been a lifeline

AnythingPecan · 08/04/2020 20:32

@TheDrsWife46 lovely words. I second that

longshot · 08/04/2020 20:41

@TheDrsWife46 thank you for that, lovely to read!

@Casino218 yes still plenty of pains here...perhaps a few less of then stabby ones in the heart area and more around my left side ribs and upper back.

longshot · 08/04/2020 20:42

@Casino218 also a few in my arms now (mild) think this can be common with pleurisy pains though

stayathomegardener · 08/04/2020 20:45

@Littleninja1 it was just one I f found on eBay, new obviously!

@DandyPeguin as my worst I took 50g vitamin c (in ascorbic acid form) in one day, 10g an hour until it goes through you. Not nice.

Currently I'm on 30g a day and I don't have diarrhoea.

The theory is the more viral load you carry the more your body uses.

Normally I'd be on about 5g but have used this regime for infections for four years.

Recommended daily dose is 1g so it's a bit out there and something you should try at your own risk but do watch the Sarah Myhill 5 minute YouTube video regarding infection as she discusses it in detail.

@musicposy yes it's getting really scarce, our main suppliers were China and they are retaining stocks. There is one supplier in Scotland but they are swamped. Glad you've managed to secure some. Again watch Sarah Myhills video on how to find your loading does.

@JustBreatheLxs thank you so much for the tip to nebulise well away from others, I'm going to try doing it outside on my bedroom balcony when it arrives.

@Meercatmama so glad your DH is reassured and home again.

@pinkoneblueone day 30 dip! Oh dear it just seems never ending.

@Casino218 the lovely Muriel is around day 35, still getting pains under her ribs she has one good day, then a bad one. But today she is stood up tall (all 4' something!) on her walking frame and declared she felt much stronger.

Thedrswife48 lovely words ❤️

WorriesomeDad · 08/04/2020 20:46

That’s good news @Meercatmama and hear hear @TheDrsWife46. Never been one for Internet forums, but these threads are genuinely helping me cling on to my sanity. If good day bad days tend to alternate I think we’re all due a more positive one tomorrow!

user34254356 · 08/04/2020 20:47

@littleninja1 sounds like a very reassuring call from your GP. I have done your little test too. My oxygen is better this evening and ranging between 95-99 in those 40 steps but the heart rate went right high from 88 to 128. Can anyone explain what that means and should i call my GP again tomorrow?

@emichel02 i have had return of my symptoms but i didn't really get the shakes so i think it's just one of those symptom waves you are experiencing. Take nytol again - i am going to take some too though it hardly helps me.

@kevintheorangecarrot - sorry to hear that. Hopefully the breathlessness will not come back. l have had my breathlessness return after 4 days when i thought i was over it. I am day 22.

EMichel102 · 08/04/2020 20:52

@user34254356 thank you for the encouragement. These shakes are very worrying for me at 23 days! Headache tonight too and usual heartburn pain but sats are ok and normal. Definitely taking the Nytol!

Standrewsschool · 08/04/2020 20:54

@Demenace - yes, my fever initially was 40, and then gradually lessened. Spiked a bit in week 2, but mainly nighttime, and better during the day. Week 3, gradually reduced, and week 4, back to normal.

Standrewsschool · 08/04/2020 20:55

Forgot to say, your symptoms sound similar to me. Temperature, aches, headaches etc but breathing okay.

Scottishgirl85 · 08/04/2020 20:56

Sorry to jump on the thread, I am currently well but wondering on average how long a person is ill for, if they have breathlessness/breathing issues/temperature but not severe enough for hospital visit. Thanks.
