Taffyapple8 the headache is awful. Lots of us had that but it will go, hang in there. Twice over the first two weeks I gave in to how bad it was and took paracetamol even though I was trying not to.

Just keep an eye that your breathing is ok. The rest, hideous though it is, will pass.

Keep posting on here overnight if you need to. Lots of people on here have bad nights so you’ll usually get support Flowers

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 07/04/2020 22:26

Taffy, sorry to hear that. Have you taken paracetamol? Plenty water?

musicposy · 07/04/2020 22:26

And burning up is a sign your body is dealing with it, even though it will make you feel like shit.

Taffyapple8 · 07/04/2020 22:30

I took paracetamol a couple of hours ago. I just can't believe I'm feeling this unwell 9 days in. Im going to some dark places tonight, I'll be honest x

Lovelesslily · 07/04/2020 22:31

@Taffyapple8 Lots of us have had very bad nights on here, keep posting there is normally someone about.
Your body is burning out the virus. That's how I try to think of the feverish, shaking type symptoms. But it is not easy in the grips of it. FlowersFlowers

Lovelesslily · 07/04/2020 22:33

@Taffyapple8 Sorry just another thought, could it be a secondary infection? Mine struck at about 9 days in and brought a return to the severe feverish symptoms (mine was a kidney infection)
Might be worth a call to 111 or GP in morning if you can wait?

Taffyapple8 · 07/04/2020 22:34

I don't think I've ever felt so scared or so unwell. I keep thinking the worst. I just want to feel better, which I know we all do.i don't have much support as my partner is adamant it's anxiety and my friends think I'm overreacting. I feel so alone and isolated from my children

Taffyapple8 · 07/04/2020 22:36

@Lovelesslily the fever hasn't gone yet since last Monday. I keep thinking how that was Boris Johnson primary symptom when he was admitted. I scared I'm on course for the same thing

Lovelesslily · 07/04/2020 22:39

@Taffyapple8 Have you spoken to 111 or a doctor at all? Lots here have found it reassuring at times (though some have found it frustrating, I think it is sadly a bit luck of the draw/services in your area)

I'd say if you are still feverish and no better tomorrow it would be worth attempting.
How is your breathing?
Are you somewhere comfortable tonight, can you watch something funny or familiar to distract you?

MrsLeclerc · 07/04/2020 22:42

Anyone else experiencing dizziness? I’ve had what feels like vertigo since 8pm. If I sit still I can ignore it but if I move my head or get up I feel disoriented.

I googled it and have scared myself so can anyone tell me if this is just another symptom or if I need to worry.

For context I overdid it today. DH has to work so I had the baby all day and cooked and cleaned.

Taffyapple8 · 07/04/2020 22:42

I spoke to both 111 and my GP earlier. They say it's mild and manageable at home. What if its not corona and is something that needs treatment. How will I know? I've got the vampire diaries on as it's my favourite but I really can't concentrate.

Taffyapple8 · 07/04/2020 22:42

My breathing is OK at the moment xx

pinkoneblueone · 07/04/2020 22:44

@Taffyapple8 What day are you on do you know?
I have thrown up a few times mothers day just after my breakfast was the worst as I felt so bad that after all the time that my children and husband took to make me it. I hope this passes soon for you.

I am loving all these beautiful dogs

pinkoneblueone · 07/04/2020 22:46

Its really hard to concentrate, Sleep often helps me feel better have you tried to nap to sleep it off?

Taffyapple8 · 07/04/2020 22:47

Day 9 although I was feeling off prior to that x

Taffyapple8 · 07/04/2020 22:48

Im shaking like a leaf. I don't think I'll sleep. My legs are on fire

Lovelesslily · 07/04/2020 22:49

@MrsLeclerc I've been experiencing dizziness and vertigo and on off for the last couple of days. It comes and goes but has been very bad, feeling like the rooms spinning even when laying down. I've tried to down a big glass of water and eat some fruit when it starts and it seems to help a tiny bit, otherwise nothing but to wait it out keeping as still as possible. It sucks but I think is a symptom still.

@Taffyapple8 You are not alone, everyone here is with you or has been where you are. I think it was @TheDrsWife46 who spoke about just trying to get through each minute/hour when you are at this stage, try not to think too far ahead. Panic makes it all worse :(

LetsBeSensible · 07/04/2020 22:49

@MrsLeclerc I get dizzy spells after exertion
@Taffyapple8 as long as you’re breathing and your temp is less than 38, and there’s no other big signs (rash, spots, that kind of thing) you’re probably just suffering CV. Have a read of the earlier “my lungs” threads, lots have been where you are, it sucks I know

pinkoneblueone · 07/04/2020 22:50

I find putting the telly on and leaving it on all night as background noise helps me a bit, silence is the worst for me as my mind goes into over drive. I tend not to sleep much atm as I am asthmatic and it plays on my mind alot so this helps me. It really may be worth trying to rest to give the your body a chance to rest if you can.

AutumnNymph · 07/04/2020 22:50

Can I join? I am asthmatic and had a cough since weekend but not anything else - started to feel worse this afternoon with breathing and started to feel absolutely rotten - have spoken to my GP who was fabulous and they have started me on steroidal meds to deal with asthma but combined with other symptoms it looks likely to be COVID

am just scared I won’t know the difference between asthma tightness in chest vs corona - my asthma is under control for the most part but I can have nasty flare ups.

I have obsessively read the Asthma UK website - can’t seem to focus on anything and feel completely wiped-

pinkoneblueone · 07/04/2020 22:51

The shakes are the worst, I put mine down to anxiety but I'm not sure that it actually was.

AutumnNymph · 07/04/2020 22:53

Reading these threads has been so useful! I have been throwing up and feel nauseous and yes to the dizziness too

LetsBeSensible · 07/04/2020 22:53

Please do take paracetamol regularly if you are unwell (and are able to take it) it helps you feel less bad! Or at least check in with your GP if you think you’ve been tak8ng it too long.
Please don’t try to “manage” without it. I’ve had times I’ve been on it 3-4 times per day, for a month! my GP is happy for me to keep taking it that regularly if it is controlling my pain and most of my pain is from catching a virus combined with CFS, so basically what you all have now

Taffyapple8 · 07/04/2020 22:56

I'm struggling to see any light at the end of this tunnel. I suffer with terrible health anxiety at the best of times and my go-to is to go to the Dr's and get checked out and therefore reassurance. I spoke to my GP earlier who assured me this is mild and that her daughter tested positive and went through similar. I just can't see that this is mild. I feel so so rotten and so so low. Thank you for all taking the time to respond, I really do appreciate it x

MrsLeclerc · 07/04/2020 22:56

Thank you so much @Lovelesslily @LetsBeSensible. I hadn’t had the joys of this yet obviously! I hope it goes as quickly as it came.
