TheDrsWife46, are you eating and drinking enough? Put a little salt on food and drink plenty of water - low blood sugar can cause muscle weakness, cramps and shakiness the 111 clinician told me. Maybe try some rehydration sachets?

stayathomegardener · 05/04/2020 14:11

I have just watched The. Best. Video!

Better even than the lungs one.

Will try and link for everyone.

stayathomegardener · 05/04/2020 14:12

Trust me on this one Smile

simplekindoflife · 05/04/2020 14:47

So sorry you're feeling this @TheDrsWife46Thanks

Are you eating and drinking enough? Vitamins, regular paracetamol?

Have you got a Fitbit, might be worth checking your heart rate?

simplekindoflife · 05/04/2020 14:48

Thanks @stayathomegardener

TheDrsWife46 · 05/04/2020 15:02

No im not eating or drinkinh properly thats a really valid point. When i eat i cant seem to chew and swallow stuff and then forcing myself to eat I feel like im going to be sick/diarrhoea. But thats a good shout. Think im so occupied with the unpleasant sensations in my legs that I didnt thinn that it could be the eating.

Only thing i think i could manage is supernoodles.

I dont think ive ever even bought supernoodles GrinGrinGrin

simplekindoflife · 05/04/2020 15:14

Whatever you can manage will help. What about soup? A milkshake even? A cup of tea with lots of sugar? Anything that remotely appeals.

My dc will only eat yoghurt when they're ill.

tupperwaretowers · 05/04/2020 15:28

Fantastic. Dick head across the road burning a dustbin full of crap. What are the current rules on this??

TheDrsWife46 · 05/04/2020 15:29

Got some soup and a yoghurt 👍🏻

Pokemontrainer · 05/04/2020 15:42

I have a neighbour with a very smoky bbq ..what dickheads

user34254356 · 05/04/2020 15:53

@TheDrsWife46 pls try to eat whatever you can. How about some fruit? Chicken soup has also been recommended to me.

I understand what you are feeling. As i saw my DCs and DH get on with their lives while i am stuck to bed, i felt both happy and sad. Their lives will go on if something were to happen to me but I was happy to see them function
@notgoingouttoday that sounds terrible but at least you are better now and hopefully will recover. I think many of us will not be the same after this - assuming even if we were to make a full recovery,

user34254356 · 05/04/2020 15:56

sorry my post got cut off ! hopefully the gist was clear.

It's Day 19 here - bit better than yesterday. I can feel a lot of mucous at the back of my throat. Is there anything I can do to get rid of it? I have tried gargling. I also have a migraine which i can't seem to shake off but otherwise slightly better energy levels and I managed to sit out in the garden and even partake in a few minutes of badminton. Tomorrow will be a new day so I just want to enjoy each good day as it comes.

user34254356 · 05/04/2020 15:58

@schrodingerskitty i agree your DH should isolate after he returns from the hospital. Hope his MRI goes ok.

@Tangledyarn @longshot hope all is going well. I haven't been checking the thread today and so probably missed some updates.

@emichel02 sounds like you have had a good day so far today yay!!

longshot · 05/04/2020 16:20

Day 26 update 2:

Heavy chest again today and tiredness so I’m taking it easy. Just don’t feel great but definitely not at the level ive been before so thinking rest and paracetamol should see me through and an early night, I’m going to call the GP tomorrow as I’m now wondering if I might have a secondary infection. (Probably don’t) but I think I would prefer to take the antibiotics In case. Having said this my DD has been just as I am now but this morning and she’s now a lot better this afternoon, playing in the garden. It’s so up and down even on day 26!!

Fed up of it but sticking with the breathing exercises people are posting and hoping this is just post viral fatigue.

@Casino218 @tangledyarn @findingschools4myboys @notangelinajolie@SchrodingersKitty how are your chests now? I’m morn asthmatic but still have a lot of pain in my upper back area, between shoulders and around bra line on the back. Also have mild pains in my left ribs but not too bad there now. Also achey arms! So boring now! Oh well.

longshot · 05/04/2020 16:22

@SchrodingersKitty I really feel for you in the situation with your DH; I can see that would be hugely stressful. I just wanted to send you a virtual hug as the added stress of that is probably not helping you recover but obviously can’t be avoided. I hope it goes ok for him.

findingschools4myboys · 05/04/2020 16:28

@longshot
Hello my fellow Day 26! 😊
Sorry you are feeling a bit worse again. My catching breath has been slowly alleviating since yesterday. But I am in bed as I speak as I again have this severe heaviness and feel exhausted. I don’t feel like I need to sleep but am struggling to even keep my eyelids open as they feel so heavy.
I have an antibody test that I was able to source privately that i am going to try in a couple of hours. I will keep this thread updated!

Casino218 · 05/04/2020 16:29

@longshot chest actually feels fine now. My worst symptom on day 27 is a sort of discomfort around my diaphragm and fatigue although went for a big walk today. Sorry to hear you're not feeling so good today x

LetsBeSensible · 05/04/2020 16:32

@TheDrsWife46 and anyone struggling with food, just try to have anything you can get down you, even if it’s ice cream or oxo cube in hot water or warm milk.
Having fluid, salt and sugar a few times a day will give you some strength.
I have Horlicks on standby as that fills a gap when too ill to eat, but appreciate that others might not have it in.

MangoesAreMyFavourite · 05/04/2020 16:35

Day 7 - fever is back today as well as diarrhoea.
Feeling miserable again after hoping I was over the worst for the past two or three days. Sad

longshot · 05/04/2020 16:50

@findingschools4myboys please let me know how you get on with he antibody test and how you found it! Exhaustion is very up and down here...

@Casino218 I am glad you are feeling much improved again! I know you had a dip a few days ago so hoping that is what I am in now and that I will pick up again tomorrow/later. I did manage a 25 minute walk today, slow but it’s the most I’ve done. I could have done more but I’m now glad I didn’t as the chest ache is back.

ofwarren · 05/04/2020 16:56

Day 13
Managed to go downstairs today and it's been alright really.
Just started with the horrible chest pains again, which make my anxiety go through the roof.
02 is 99% and heart rate in the 90s but that's probably because I'm anxious about it.
Amazon messaged to say my gaviscon is going to be delayed, again.. not had any for a week. I have lansoprazole but it doesn't do the instant cooling that gaviscon does.
I'm currently resting, knelt on the floor and leaning on my wedge pillow on the bed.

ofwarren · 05/04/2020 16:58

What are you doing to sooth your chest ache @longshot?

ofwarren · 05/04/2020 16:59

Hang in there Mangoes it's still early days.
You will get better soon

longshot · 05/04/2020 17:00

@ofwarren just been doing the video that was posted (5 deep breaths and bold and lie on front) and have taken paracetamol again this afternoon which has helped. It’s not terrible but kind of an all over ache which I haven’t had for a while now so it’s a bit disheartening. I also have quite a lot of ache/pain in my upper back. My breathing seems ok, very slightly wheezy maybe.

TheDrsWife46 · 05/04/2020 17:01

Omg @findingschools4myboys were you the poster that found it at a “harley street clinic” i did look and I couldnt see the home availability.

Oh my! Please keep us posted. I’d pay every penny in my bank account to know for sure but I think i’d be petrified if DH and little DD hadnt had it compared to me and DD1.

I stupidly went on my phone and made myself anxious. The key to recovery is to focus solely on how well you all are in your own four walls. Everything else can wait until well.
