How long do you think we can tolerate this lockdown?

I know it's necessary and for thy e greater good, but how long do you think society will tolerate it before (more) people start flouting the rules? Are there psychologists who the government are consulting about how long humans can be expected to live like this? I know people say we are just being asked to sit on our sofas but that's a very simplistic way of looking at a gargantuan change in lifestyle and social habits which are engrained within us.

I think people could manage 8-12 weeks and I think the toll on mental health will start to outweigh the physical health benefits.

Why are people trying to do the blame game. This could potentially originate anywhere.

563 more deaths announced today. I honestly think people just need to tolerate this lockdown for as long as is deemed necessary. If one of my loved ones were in intensive care suffering from this virus or dies from it I would really start to feel hatred for all the people complaining about cabin fever and wanting to break the rules.
I give exception for people in truly horrific circumstances such as domestic violence.

Would last much time if everyone took it seriously. Next door neighbours currently stood on their driveway chatting away to other neighbours within centimetres of each other. Neighbours kids biking together in the street/others empty driveways and also not distancing when talking/playing. Feels like I’m sacrificing seeing my child and family for nothing when there’s idiots like my neighbours about!

Much less*

@starrysimon I know what you mean. My mum and dad usually have DS 3x a week when I’m working and this is heartbreaking for them. While my next door neighbours in their 70s are sneaking their daughter in the back door most days, and her dog. And this idiot I know posting pictures of himself on Instagram cuddling his four year old nephew, out for a bike ride today. It almost makes you want to say fuck it, but obviously we won’t.
