@longshot started a new thread as the other filled up and I thought you were poorly and people would be wanting to find out how you were doing.

OP posts:
StormBaby · 28/03/2020 21:01

Remember my unsympathetic DH, who didn't believe there was anything wrong with me? We are on my day 15 today with no-one else showing symptoms, so we've gone outside for the first time.

Got home, cooked and ate dinner. He's then suddenly disappeared upstairs without saying a word, got into bed, feels extremely unwell and dizzy. Back to the beginning we go!

longshot · 28/03/2020 21:03

@Littleninja1 come on we can do this!! Stay strong and get an early night is my mantra.

Joeaj23 · 28/03/2020 21:04

@EMichel102 I chewed a gaviscon and it has seemed to have helped so thanks for the tip!

Joeaj23 · 28/03/2020 21:06

@longshot definitely a plausible theory that I received a larger dose while in Italy. I would say there have been a couple of points in the last two weeks where I’ve felt a bit better but these never last longer than half a day or so.

TheDrsWife46 · 28/03/2020 21:06

It really is worse for me in the evenings. Its that sense of forboding that “you’re gonna be uncontrollably ill again over the next hours” i cant manage.

Im trying. Im literally in bed, stepping my feet up and down a bit like stepper just to occupy my shaking legs and give myself a distracting feeling.

I havent tried lemsip, I dont have any in but ive also taken paracetamol religiously. So cant even through something new in yet. Its this scrwaming shaky sensation that rips through my body that makes me get up and pace the garden. Its like Im trying to escape my own body. It doesnt help though because then I get so cold and cant regulate my temp again. DH packed me off upstairs to a fresh bed/cleaned bedroom but i found it easier to live in the lounge for last week. In and out of the garden/sofa.. but the kids wanted the tv for ant and dec.

Im missing them terribly. Ive stayed well away esp the little one (dd is 8) as she has nonsymptoms but i cant cope with their chatter and play whilstbi feel so ill and i dont want to scare them

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 28/03/2020 21:07

Handhold here for the night, for anyone who needs it! Perfectly normal to feel worried.

Am now worried because day 6 (?), feeling better and now dreading in case this is the pattern before feeling worse. But then - is there even a pattern?! It seems so varied.

stayathomegardener · 28/03/2020 21:07

That's disheartening @Joeaj23 have you done more today than normal?

Joeaj23 · 28/03/2020 21:09

@stayathomegardener I haven’t really done anything today, here’s hoping tomorrow is better!

BananaChocolateLump · 28/03/2020 21:09

I was having palpitations earlier and have been for three days. Spoke to 111 and they said seek medical advice within hour. Hospital badly signposted so was sent to one room. Asked me if I had shortness of breath (I said palpitations first) they point me back to the other room, I go in there and lady behind desk says Where's your mask this is the corona ward!!

Shambles of a system she heard me say shortness if breath and automatically assumed I had CV. I bloody hope I don't get it now. Ran outside and had an instant panic attack which didn't help the palpitations!!!

ofwarren · 28/03/2020 21:10

@stormbaby
Oh dear...
Well, you did try and say
I hope he's ok though Flowers

TheWooisStrong · 28/03/2020 21:12

Trying for positive thinking tonight.
(Day 17 I think, I’ve lost count)
I do generally feel better in the morning.
I don’t have a tight chest.
Chills/shivers have stopped.
I left the house and walked slowly round the block - first exercise in a week.
Hoping I feel better again tomorrow. Sore throat is back, nasty taste in mouth is new symptom, and my eyes are hot and burny.

TheDrsWife46 · 28/03/2020 21:14

@smoooth im really sorry i started when my fever shot to 39, I had a racing heart and was sick/squits with it. My temo has sat at 37.7/8 now since then despite the feverish sensations etc.

@StormBaby It is my biggest fear that my DH gets hit next because so far he has been my rock managing my kids/cooking etc. Im already not coping. Im so sorry to hear you have more of this coming.

@Littleninja1 holding your hand alongside mine

smoooth · 28/03/2020 21:16

Thanks TheDrsWife46. Have you had any other symptoms?

smoooth · 28/03/2020 21:17

Oh sorry TheDrsWife46 - just seen your other posts

Littleninja1 · 28/03/2020 21:18

Its like Im trying to escape my own body. @TheDrsWife46 that is exactly how it feels! I told my sister it felt like I'm possessed and something is trying to struggle its way out of me. Am feeling the same just now - you're not alone.

TheDrsWife46 · 28/03/2020 21:23

I feel like Ive been poisoned. Like theres an actual toxin that Ive taken and then the affects take hold. The sheer volume of episodes over days and days are bringing me to my knees

hollytom · 28/03/2020 21:26

Just seen that a new text service has been introduced from 111 it says to check how you are. Just signed up. I went through the 111 questions and there was a link

ofwarren · 28/03/2020 21:28

Do you sign up online @hollytom?

longshot · 28/03/2020 21:28

Yes I share that feeling of something toxic / poison, awful. I have that less now on day 18.

@Joeaj23 do you have someone looking after you?

Spacecadetagain · 28/03/2020 21:33

I feel terrible this evening .. my ribs are so painful and I feel really feverish .. I am so fed up of this awful virus and freaking out a little

stayathomegardener · 28/03/2020 21:34

@TheDrsWife46 remember any viral infection causes cells to die and they are then a toxin that need to be removed from your body. Support that natural process by flushing them out with lots of fluids. I think it was casino said 4L a day on a previous thread.

ofwarren · 28/03/2020 21:35

It's always the evening isn't it. I hope your symptoms ease off a bit so you can sleep Flowers

WanderingLost167 · 28/03/2020 21:37

So, I was sure I was fine, that it was just a sinus infection. It started about the 20th, and had no idea it could be Covid, but then I got awful stomach pain, stabbing pains under my rib cage, and a feeling of being choked, but no cough, although I had flu like symptoms.

And then diarrhoea, but then on Wed I felt a bit better so did some exercise, and then the chest pain started. Burning lungs, for the last few days, feeling of choking a little and now I'm worried.

This would be day 10 for me. Does this mean its unlikely to get too much worse?

Joeaj23 · 28/03/2020 21:38

@longshot on my own unfortunately but FaceTiming my parents to help with the anxiety

longshot · 28/03/2020 21:38

Also at my worst I religiously took the paracetamol every 4 hours, was encouraged to eat at the usual times and drank approx 10 large glasses of water / herbal tea a day. I also do the steaming twice a day but that’s just the last few days. Off to find some gaviscon now to see if it helps my burning chest.
