I only went on to pay my account and the message says closed

Don't blame themes it seems staff have requested closure, they have listened

hope it doesn't leave them into administration when we are through this though.

@apples yeah we get it. We're struggling too. It's not a race to the bottom. People have to live and clothe their children (some of which are not born yet).

It's also fine to say buy some at the supermarket... if you can get to the supermarket or can afford it. If I ask for a gift card for somewhere it's generally because I would normally find it too expensive to shop there. Wanting nice baby clothes is not illegal or immoral.

As for the poster saying you knew something like this would happen. Ah yes, I'm sure everyone else aside from the posters on this thread have clearly planned for a global pandemic like this. Not Hmm

Enko · 27/03/2020 13:31

@ssd she is a John Lewis partner that includes Waitrose they are the same company. The people working in Waitrose didn't expect to be working in a supermarket in a viral pandemic either.

As a partner in that company, this is 100% the right decision or is she suggesting that one half of her company is worth staying at home on 80% pay whilst the other half works in the supermarket as keyworkers because she is somehow worth more?

Like I said they have just this week been paid their bonus for last year I suspect she is happy to take that payment and will do next year too if they have one?

MiracletoCome · 27/03/2020 16:04

You can get into your Next account now to make payments, I cancelled a couple of things that were available to cancel and it said if stuff doesn't arrive in the next few days they will just cancel them.

TrainspottingWelsh · 27/03/2020 19:58

Don't be so ridiculous @SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe. If we were letting it run it's course we wouldn't be fucking the economy over as we are.

Hopefullysmart · 31/03/2020 17:54

Has anyone received anything over the weekend or this week? Anyone's
orders still showing as active?

Scruffyoak · 31/03/2020 18:09

Nope. Was hoping my bra would come.

Hopefullysmart · 31/03/2020 18:35

Did they cancel your order @Scruffyoak ? Mine is still showing active.

Scruffyoak · 31/03/2020 18:48

One says it will be here by 14th april. Other parcel says no tracking avail.

Hopefullysmart · 31/03/2020 18:55

Yes mine saying the same - 1 order with 6 items split across 3 deliveries; 2 deliveries showing dates and another saying tracking unavailable 😫 Fingers crossed 😬

Tanfastic · 31/03/2020 19:28

My order just says "tracking not available"...I've no idea if I'll get it or not Confused

daisychain01 · 31/03/2020 19:38

I've just gone onto the Sainsbury website and their Tu range for babies and children still looks available for online ordering.

Toomuchtooyoung01 · 31/03/2020 19:42

Understand why they're doing this to protect their staff, annoying for me though as I would estimate 80% of my kids clothes are Next

SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe · 31/03/2020 20:14

The money for my order is still 'pending' in my bank account. On my next account it says tracking is not available.

I emailed them a couple of days ago seeking clarification re was my order in the process of being delivered or due to be cancelled and have had nothing back.

However, I did notice today that the items are fully listed on the clearance section whereas yesterday nothing was displayed.

Aloe6 · 31/03/2020 20:23

I’ve got an order that was due in May. Money has been taken from my account balance but is showing as ‘pending’ too.

I’d be happy to wait for it so hoping they don’t cancel.

SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe · 01/04/2020 16:20

Update - I have had my money refunded so they have cancelled it.

Hopefullysmart · 01/04/2020 19:51

😏 that's rubbish @SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe

JanewaysBun · 01/04/2020 20:04

I am way too stingy to shop at next it can really recommend EBay for people struggling for stuff. I got 60 pieces 0-6 mo for a tenner last year. When I had DS i got loads of amazing stuff for pennies.

Sainsbos baby clothes (free click and collect ovee 14 quid or deliveey) are super nice quality x

IamChipmunk · 01/04/2020 20:35

Ive just ordered some summer bits for my 2 from nutmeg at morrisons (currently 30% off) and sainsburys. After next shutting (amd i understand why) i didn't want them stuck without shorts or tshirts for summer. Ds particularly had nothing that fitted from last year. Some basic items of clothes are a reasonable purchase.
