Obviously I’m following the guidelines but was wondering if there is anyway of them knowing who isn’t?

OP posts:

What 'kinda data area'?

And again, who is 'they'?

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 24/03/2020 21:51

saz

Grin

That would be awesome

Windyatthebeach · 24/03/2020 21:55

Ds went into his garden to a cigarette - he looked out into the front street . 8 police arrived!
He genuinely thought they were for him leaving his house!!
A stolen car had parked in his St. 4 lads arrested - and apparently being fined for travelling from a neighbouring town unnecessarily..

PlomBear · 24/03/2020 21:56

Who exactly is doing the tracking? The security services have better things to do.

Dances · 24/03/2020 22:00

Too much watching Netflix. There is more risk having 22 Loyalty cards, Facebook etc. with log in from your email account, and integrated listening devices in your house.

All of which are voluntary.

Some people don't appreciate the freedoms they actually have.

Tyrannosaurusdrip · 24/03/2020 22:02

Course they don't know... But you really shouldn't leave the house unless you have to.
If you forget the bread.. Well , fuck it. You can get it next time you go out for essentials.
Really Hmm

HoneyBee03 · 24/03/2020 22:03

I highly doubt it. I've been out 4 times today (all genuine reasons) and the police haven't swooped.

Kintsugi16 · 24/03/2020 22:03

I had to make an essential journey 60 miles away today and 10 mins after using my phone I got a text

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 24/03/2020 22:05

i had to make an essential journey 60 miles away today and 10 mins after using my phone I got a text

Everyone got that text...

Kintsugi16 · 24/03/2020 22:06

It’s interesting because I did have to make a few journeys today and I was the only one in the family who got the text

Kintsugi16 · 24/03/2020 22:06

Oh good!!
Thanks, that’s reassuring

saucyspice · 24/03/2020 22:06

If you take your phone with you when you go out this information could easily be tracked by looking at your mobile data and probably will be soon...

amiw · 24/03/2020 22:07

I have been at home self isolating and also got a text. Hmm. Perhaps mass text nothing to do with location?

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 24/03/2020 22:07

Dh had it

I had it

Ds had it

Dd had it

None of us have left the house today

Ds and dd havent left the house since Friday

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 24/03/2020 22:08

Sorry kintsugi crosspost

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 24/03/2020 22:09

I dont take my phone if dh has his

And I’m a dreadful rule follower...so I’ll absolutely be staying in the house as much as possible

AnotherMurkyDay · 24/03/2020 22:10

The government aren't watching you because they don't really give that much of a shit. Your life doesn't matter to them. You are not that special or important or indispensable. See how quickly the numbers change. Do you think we will ever know the name of patient 9 or 28 or 101 or 257 or 313 who died in the UK? We shouldn't need micro managing, that's what a conscience is for

Kintsugi16 · 24/03/2020 22:12

I do have to go out a lot so possibly will be stopped. They can easily track you I suppose.

InvisibleToEveryone · 24/03/2020 22:14

@RufustheLanglovingreindeer ,

What text?

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 24/03/2020 22:19

Ok everyone but invisible 😀

The government have been sending out a Coronavirus stay at home text

Its been going on in this house since about 9am until dh got his at around 8pm

Dances · 24/03/2020 22:21

So location specific then Rufus.?

They are effectiveky broadcasting to any active phone then. That's the very opposite if tracking.

Dances · 24/03/2020 22:21

Of......

PinkBuffalo · 24/03/2020 22:22

I actually did leave my phone at home accidentally today. (Was at work as work for an emergency service before anyone say anything)
Still had a text when I got home that had been sent earlier in day.
Just assumed they were sent to all mobile numbers? I not have data as still payg
I usually use my landline if need to call a landline number and call mum every night now I cannot see her no more
So could not be tracking I do not think. We are very busy at work and not sure where we would find the time to be honest!

Dances · 24/03/2020 22:23

Christ typo hell.

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 24/03/2020 22:23

I think so dances

Its being sent to everyone and it seems (from this house) to be going in bursts of provider

Ds and I are EE and got ours with in an hour of each other...dd and dh are with tesco and o2 (i think) and theirs were later and more spaced out
